These days, gambling is done in so many different shapes or forms. Previously, people would use gambling as a way to have fun while spending time with one another. But with the advent of technology, people are now free to gamble even without being in the same room together.

The internet is now loaded with all sorts of different online casino platforms that offer a digital version of the physical casino experience. These online casino games are designed to ultimately mimic the fun and exhilaration of gambling at actual casinos. Since these online casinos have become so popular these days, they have to undergo strict licensing and certification standards to make sure that they are offering fair services to consumers. This way, customers are always assured of fairness and good service whenever they are playing on these accredited platforms. One would be able to find games like online poker, baccarat, slots, and blackjack on these online casino sites. Aside from that, most sites are available for play on mobile devices, which makes it a lot easier and more convenient for gamblers to gain access to these casinos regardless of wherever they are.

Ultimately, as current trends might dictate, it seems like the casino industry is going to continue to grow bigger and bigger with each passing year. This is especially true for the online casino industry. Of course, a lot of this has to do with the fact that gambling is always going to be a favorite hobby among individuals. In fact, gambling is so popular that it has even managed to inspire many different depictions in the arts like songs, video games, and films. In this article, we are going to go over some of the best movies that all lovers of gambling are bound to enjoy.

Ocean’s Eleven

When you put George Clooney and Brad Pitt as the two leading roles in a film directed by Steven Soderbergh, then you’re practically assured of box office success at that point. However, more than just being a commercial draw, Ocean’s Eleven offers a pretty compelling plot and it delivers on all of the hype. Aside from Pitt and Clooney, the cast is composed of some heavy hitters like Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac, Don Cheadle, Julia Roberts, and Matt Damon to name a few. In fact, the movie was so popular and well-received that it managed to inspire two more movies to make up a trilogy.

While Ocean’s Eleven technically isn’t just a gambling movie per se, there are a lot of casino elements to the storytelling. Essentially, the whole plot revolves around a group of professional thieves who plot to rob the big three casinos of the Las Vegas Strip: the Bellagio, Mirage, and MGM Grand. The group, headed by Clooney’s character Danny Ocean, is composed of a methodical team of skilled specialists who have very specific roles to play in the heist. It’s a very fast-paced film that will leave the viewer at the edge of their seat the whole time.

Molly’s Game

Molly’s Game has been a mixed bag of reviews, especially when it comes to the big name that’s attached to the project. Aaron Sorkin, a renowned screenwriter responsible for masterpieces like The Social Network, Moneyball, The West Wing, and The Newsroom, has his directorial debut with Molly’s Game. Of course, the writing is still up to the typical Sorkin standard and Jessica Chastain’s performance as Molly Bloom is inspired. The plot is loosely based on the autobiography of the disgraced poker princess Molly Bloom. This is a compelling story that is certainly going to capture the attention of poker lovers all around the world.

Rain Man

Rain Man is a classic film that features some captivating performances from Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. While this movie doesn’t necessarily center around the gambling industry, there are still some interesting gambling tidbits that are found throughout the story. Most particularly, Hoffman’s character Raymond is gifted with an incredible mind that translates well to the gambling world. His brother tries to manipulate him into various situations that might be able to net both of them some money. Ultimately, it’s one of the most timeless movies in history and it’s definitely a go-to for any cinema lover.
