Apple TV+ Renews ‘Tehran’ for Season 3 with Hugh Laurie

Tehran Renewed for Season 3: A Bit of Fry and Laurie, House M.D and The Night Manager star & Emmy nominee Hugh Laurie joins the espionage drama ‘Tehran,’ as Apple TV+ renews for the third season. Season three is in production. So far, a debut date hasn’t been set. For the second season, Tehran recruited Glenn Close, an Emmy winner, and Academy Award nominee, to play the role of a Mossad agent.




“Tehran” is an Israeli television series that made its debut in 2020. It primarily tracks the journey of an Iranian-Jewish Mossad agent, played by Niv Sultan, as she carries out her inaugural assignment in Tehran, her birthplace. The ensemble cast includes Shila Ommi, Bahar Pars, Phoenix Raei, Sahun Toub, and Sasson Gabai.

In November 2021, at the International Emmy Awards ceremony, the drama series “Tehran” was honored with the award for the best international drama series, making history as the first-ever Israeli series to win such a distinction.




Hugh Laurie will take on the role of a South African inspector for nuclear facilities and will be part of a cast that features newcomers Sasson Gabai, Bahar Pars, and Phoenix Raei.

Moshe Zonder (Fauda), Dana Eden, and Maor Kohn created Tehran; Daniel Syrkin directs and furthermore serves as co-creator. Eden and Shula Spiegel executive produce for Donna and Shula Productions along with Alon Aranya of Paper Plane Productions; Julien Leroux for Paper Entertainment; Peter Emerson for Cineflix Studios; and Tony Saint, Syrkin, Zonder, Dari Shai Slutzky and Tal Fraifeld for Kan.
