What’s Coming to Netflix in November 2020: Get Ready for the Holiday Season with Netflix. Hope you like holiday movies, because more than a dozen titles on this new November list contain the word Christmas!

A hefty list of sappy romances, rib tickling comedies, warm family dramas, foot-tapping musicals and Netflix Originals, all themed around the big holiday season is in store with the streaming giant this November. “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” (Nov. 13) a musical starring Keegan Michael-Key and Forrest Whitaker; “The Princess Switch: Switched Again” (Nov. 19) a sequel to The Princess Switch (2018) starring Vanessa Hudgens; “Aliens Xmas” (Nov. 20) about, aliens and Christmas, are on the list.

Also showing “Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square” (Nov. 22), a homespun family drama featuring 14 new Dolly Parton songs and “The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2” (Nov.25) starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell as Santa. These are just a few handful names from the long list of holiday movies; there are lots more!

Netflix November The Crown

Among the non-holiday themed stuff, there’s the much anticipated fourth season of “The Crown” (Nov. 15), with Olivia Colman returning as Queen Elizabeth. Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip and Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles reprise their roles from earlier season. Newcomers Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin are joining the cast as as Margaret Thatcher and Diana respectively.

Prince Charles’ fairy-tale romance with young Diana; the focus on finding appropriate bride for Prince Charles who is still unmarried at 30; growing tensions between the Queen and the nation’s first female Prime Minister; Margaret Thatcher and the impact of divisive policies on Britain are just a few key elements we will get to witness in season 4.

There’s also a Netflix Film “Hillbilly Elegy” (Nov.24), a drama about a family’s struggles in Appalachia, based on the memoir of J.D. Vance. Netflix is riding its aspiration high of winning the first Oscar on this film starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close. The film is directed by Ron Howard.

The second season of a small town saga, “Virgin River” (Nov.17) is coming back after initially premiering in Dec 2019. The Netflix hit adaptation series, based on the Harlequin book series of the same name, is a story of a nurse practitioner Mel Monroe played by Alexandra Breckenridge. She discovered a small-town life and love in northern California after escaping her tragic past.

Season two finds Mel continuing her work at Doc Mullin’s (Tim Matheson) clinic as she comes to terms with her  tragic past. Needless to say, fans have engagement and heartbreak along with murder to look forward to throughout the season’s 10 episodes.

And finally, in addition to all of these new goodies dropping in November, there is also a pretty impressive list of movies and TV that you already love. From heist comedy Ocean’s Eleven (2001) to crime-drama classic A Clockwork Orange (1971) to all the six seasons of Dawson’s Creek (1998), there’s plenty of variety in the movies and TV coming to the platform this November.
