Millie Bobby Brown, popularly known for playing Eleven in Netflix’s wildly successful teenage science-fiction drama Stranger Things, is set to reprise her role as the sharp sister of Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes 2. The actress first took on the part in 2020 with the first installment of the Victorian-era addition to the Sherlock Holmes universe. We found Enola attempting to track down her mother, unraveling the mysteries behind a young Lord along the way in Netflix’s Enola Holmes, based on six young adult detective books written by Nancy Springer. Henry Cavill is back as older brother Sherlock in a sequel to the 2020 film.

Harry Bradbeer will direct the sequel, for a screenplay written by Jack Thorne. The film will also retain its cinematographer Giles Nuttgens from the first film.

Enola Holmes 2 release date?

If you’ve already seen Enola Holmes, then no doubt you absolutely cannot wait for the sequel. Enola Holmes 2 will release on Netflix on Nov. 4, 2022, worldwide.

What is Enola Holmes 2 about? And on what novel is it based?

Enola Holmes 2 is based on  Nancy Springer’s The Case of the Left-Handed Lady. This time around, Enola will be a detective-for-hire, taking on her first official case to find a missing girl. The adventure sparks a dangerous conspiracy filled with mystery, requiring the help of friends and Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) himself.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Millie also shared some info about where the film is set: “We set the film in the hustle and bustle of London, which is something that we didn’t really get to see as much in the first one,” she said. “We got to really see what this young girl is doing in this crazy city that surrounds her night and day.”

Enola Holmes 2 Review

Although the spirited feminist messaging and an adorable Millie Bobby Brown performance managed to rack up immense consumption for Enola Holmes, it did not do much for me. The premise was only a basic patchwork to introduce this new voice from Baker Street. The script committed to the central mystery on such a superficial level that the sappy Young-Adult elements came out more than they should have. Read the complete review of Enola Homes 2 here.

Do we have an Enola Holmes 2 trailer yet?

Netflix has dropped a final trailer (part 2) for Enola Holmes 2, and we see Enola introduced as a detective. “The game has found its feet again,” says Enola cheekily, paraphrasing the famous line from Sherlock stories. We see Millie Bobby Brown reuniting with Henry Cavill and, this time, Enola and Sherlock’s cases are linked.
