Wrongly Accused Season 1 – Premieres with Two-Part Episodes Every Thursday Starting August 3 (Sundance Now Original Series)
Investigative reporter Louise Shorter delves into some of the most significant miscarriages of justice in British criminal history, where lives were shattered due to wrongful murder accusations. Throughout the series, Shorter meets with the individuals who were wrongly accused, their family members, and those intimately connected to each case.
Each case receives comprehensive coverage across two episodes. In the first episode, she scrutinizes the original investigation that led to the wrongful accusations, examining the mistakes made and their far-reaching consequences. In the second episode, she delves into the evidence that ultimately led to the apprehension of the true murderer, shedding light on the pivotal moments when the justice system failed, and the wrongful convictions were eventually rectified. Through her investigation, Shorter exposes the critical junctures where justice faltered and how, eventually, the correct course was set, leading to the incarceration of the real culprits.
The Communion Girl – Premieres Friday, August 11 (Shudder Original)
In Spain, during the late 1980s, a newcomer named Sara (Carla Campra) endeavors to find her place among the tight-knit group of teenagers in a small town nestled in the province of Tarragona. She can’t help but feel that fitting in would be easier if she possessed the same outgoing nature as her best friend, Rebe (Aina Quiñones). One night, they decide to venture out to a nightclub, but on their way back, their lives take a harrowing turn. They encounter a little girl holding a doll and dressed in her first communion attire, and this is the catalyst for the terrifying ordeal that lies ahead.
Lace (ALLBLK Original Series) – New Episodes Premiere Through Thursday, August 17
Judge Sharon Floyd and Big D successfully broker a truce between Judge Sears and Tony. Randall extends an offer to take Daniel under his wing and provide him with guidance and teachings. The cast includes Maryam Basir, Tanyell Waivers, Antoine Harris, Mollie Dolcimascolo, and Taylor Bynoe.
Bad Things – Premieres Friday, August 18 (Shudder Original)
Following its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the movie revolves around a weekend getaway for a group of girlfriends at a snowy resort, which transforms into a psychological tailspin and a horrifying nightmare. The film features an ensemble cast starring Gayle Rankin (known for GLOW), Hari Nef (from Barbie), Rad Pereira (of Betty), and Molly Ringwald (famous for her role in The Breakfast Club).
The Dangers in My Heart (HIDIVE Exclusive) – English Dub Premiere on August 26

However, an encounter with Anna Yamada, the gorgeous class idol, ignites a spark in the darkness of his heart.
The story revolves around a classic tale of an antisocial boy falling for a popular girl, but as the plot unfolds, it becomes evident that neither Kyotaro nor Anna is who they initially appear to be. Will they both defy the expectations placed upon them and discover their true selves? “The Dangers in My Heart” is produced by Shin-Ei Animation, directed by Hiroaki Akagi, and written by Jukki Hanada, with music composed by Kensuke Ushio.
