What is ‘Feud: Capote vs. The Swans’ About?

In the second season of the Feud series, Tom Hollander plays the famous author Truman Capote, who breaks his friendships with New York City’s jet-setting socialites by writing a badly imagined account of their scandalous lives in the book Answered Prayers. The special group, called “the swans,” vows revenge and tries to end Capote’s life.

The season looks at Capote’s rise and fall against the rich background of New York’s high society. The city’s wealthy women, who like to be called “the swans,” at first accept Capote as one of their own. He gets their trust and becomes one of their closest friends. However, their friendship falls apart when Capote writes fictionalized accounts of the swans, which hurts their names and starts a fight between him and the ladies.
