First Trailer for Netflix’s Horror film ‘The Perfection’ turns a music rivalry into unsettling surrealism

The First Trailer for Netflix’s Horror film The Perfection looks sick and unsettling. Mostly well-received by genre critics who are regular visitors to the yearly fest the film seems like a cross between Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan and any genre film that keeps pushing unsettling imagery that involves bugs in place they are not supposed to be.

After the success of Birdbox – A post-apocalyptic horror survival thriller that set the Horror genre of Netflix on fire, the new addition to the ever-growing catalog seems to be push rivalry between two musicians at its foreground. Starring Allison Williams (“Get Out”) and Logan Browning, this upcoming film looks like the latest attraction of breakouts for the streaming giants. Directed by Richard Shepard (Dom Hemingway), the synopsis reads that the two musicians – Charlotte played by Allison Williams and  Elizabeth played by  (Logan Browning)  take a reportedly sinister path with troubling consequences.

After premiering last year at Fantastic Fest in Austin, the film is set to hit the streaming site on May 24th.
