What to Expect in Love is Blind Sweden?

Sweden takes audiences away across the sea as love bravely ventures into unexplored realms in Love is Blind. Taking the concept of “blind dating” to a whole new level, 32 hopeful singles set out on an extraordinary quest to meet their soulmate—the person they will spend the rest of their lives with—without ever setting eyes on them.

Over the course of the following four weeks, these two extraordinary people will move in together, make wedding preparations, and work hard to overcome the distance between their feelings and their actual presence. On their wedding day, the big question will finally be answered: would they kiss the person they fell for, even though they can’t see them? On the other hand, is there going to be anything that prevents them from finding the love they desire?

The Love is Blind series is more than just a TV show; it’s an experiment in social research meant to test the hypothesis that superficial characteristics like age, race, and appearance might influence the depth of a romantic relationship.

Almenäs, a well-known figure in Swedish television, is guiding viewers through this emotional roller coaster.  The TV host and reporter kept hosting shows including Let’s Dance (Strictly Come Dancing), Biggest Loser, and Superstars after representing Sweden in Miss World and finishing as first runner-up in Miss Sweden 1998.
