Netflix in December 2020 It has been a great year for Netflix, as the coronavirus pandemic has placed streaming giant front and center of the entertainment business. The service began the quarantine with a massive hit in “Tiger King”, and it currently has its biggest miniseries to date with “The Queen’s Gambit”. Although a weak November for its originals, how will Netflix round out this year? Check out what’s coming to Netflix in December 2020 to find out.

With theaters still shut and many Oscar contenders moving to 2021 and beyond, there’s been a lot of discussion around how this could be Netflix’s year to win it big at the Academy Awards. While the streamer has released a few Best Picture contenders already including “Da 5 Bloods” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7”, there are still several highly anticipated films coming to Netflix in December 2020.

One of the two headliners that is garnering the attention of movie-lovers all over the world is “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”.  Ma Rainey is the streamer’s ace in the hole, featuring powerhouse performances by Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman. The other big ticket offering is David Fincher’s “Mank“, a years-in-the-making passion project. Based on a script by Fincher’s father, Jack, “Mank” is garnering raves from the critics for performances by Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfried.
