Vikings: Valhalla (Netflix)

This is a spin-off of the famous, large-scale historical series Vikings by the History channel. Fortunately for us, the producers, seeing the success of the series, decided to release another season, albeit on a different platform, which was Netflix. Events in the new project will take place almost a hundred years after those shown in the Vikings. New heroes, new intrigues, love lines will unfold on the screen. While Vikings fans are waiting for a brand-new story, the original series gave birth to many video games on the same topic – from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla to casino slots by NetEnt. The Witcher: Blood Origin (Netflix)

At the end of July 2020, Netflix studio announced the spin-off of The Witcher series. The Witcher: Blood Origin will be the prequel to the main series and tells a story that took place 1200 years before the birth of Geralt of Rivia. Spectators will see a cataclysm called the “Conjugation of the Spheres”, as a result of which people and monsters appeared on the Continent. Until this moment, the civilization of elves dominated here – the representatives of this race will be in the center of the plot.

Love and Death (HBO Max)

Nicole Kidman and David E. Kelly, who previously worked together on Big Little Lies and Play Back, are joining forces again to bring viewers to one of next year’s most promising series. The action of this dramatic miniseries based on real events will unfold in Texas in 1980, and the plot will focus on two married couples. One day their friendship comes to an end – Candy Montgomery finds out that her best friend Betty Gore is having an affair with her husband Pat, and decides to kill her with an ax. This is a terrifying story about the disappointments and desires of two women, which ends with a terrible act of violence.

The Ladder (HBO Max)

In addition to the drama Love and Death, in 2022 HBO Max will present another miniseries based on a real-life crime that has been investigated for 16 years. The eight-episode show will focus on Michael Peterson – a detective novelist who went to prison in 2003 for the murder of his wife Caitlin. Michael insisted on his innocence and claimed that his wife fell down the stairs after mixing alcohol with Valium. However, an autopsy showed that she died due to multiple injuries.

The Lord of the Rings (Amazon)

The series The Lord of the Rings is expected by many thousands of moviegoers since the plots of the novels of J.R.R. Tolkien are capable to surprise even people without imagination. The legends of the Second Age of Middle-Earth history, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, will come to life on the screen. This was the time of the creation of the great rings, including the Ring of Omnipotence. Spectators will meet new characters, but old characters will also fight the Dark Forces of Evil. The details of the plot are kept in secret, so we can only wait for the release in 2022!
