Ryeoun as Eun-gyeol

Ryeoun plays the character Eun-gyeol, who has many different shades and lives a double life. During the day, he is a picture-perfect student, working hard on his schoolwork. But he becomes a passionate guitarist who escapes into music and dreams when night comes. Eun-gyeol’s unique personality is also shown by the fact that he is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult). This means that he is the only person in his family who can hear. He says the journey will be a wild ride of self-discovery and music.

Shin Eun-soo as Yoon Cheong-ah

Shin Eun-soo plays Yoon Cheong-ah, who is often called the “ice princess” in the show. Her character is interesting because she is cold and mysterious. But Cheong-ah is even more complicated when we find out that she has been deaf since birth. Shin Eun-soo’s performance perfectly captures Cheong-ah’s unique situation and shows how well she can show feelings through small gestures and short conversations.

Twinkling Watermelon takes the time-travel romance genre in a new direction.  The story is about a high school student named Eun-Gyeol (Ryeoun) who has deaf parents and is a very talented musician. During the day, Eun-Gyeol acts like a good student by doing well in his classes. But music is his true love, and he does well as a guitarist in a band.

One day, Eun-Gyeol walks into a mysterious store that sells musical instruments. This store becomes the hub of his journey through time. Here, he meets Yi-Chan (Choi Hyun-Wook), Se-Kyung (Seol In-A), and Cheong-A (Shin Eun-Soo), three people who will later form the band “Watermelon Sugar.” As the story goes on, viewers will be taken on a journey through time and into the lives of these fascinating people. Expect a rich tapestry of feelings, music, and new territory as Twinkling Watermelon looks at how time travel affects the lives of our favorite characters in a deep way.
