We all love a good old murder mystery and relating ourselves to the detectives as the mystery unfolds. And a great addition to this ongoing list of whodunit movies is “See Where They Run,” starring Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan in the lead characters.
Directed by British Academy Television Award winner Tom George, this mystery comedy is set in 1950s London where an American director gets murdered while being there to adapt a popular stage play into a film. And then enter our lead characters Inspector Stoppard(Sam Rockwell) and Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) set out to solve the mystery behind the murder.
Along with well-loved Sam and Saoirse others starring in the film are Harris Dickinson, Adrien Brody, David Oyelowo, and Ruth Wilson. With a 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes, this movie is fairly loved by the audience for its comedic take on whodunit films.
As one of the most promising actresses of this generation with exceptional work in Lady Bird, Brooklyn, Little Women, and many more, Saoirse’s portrayal of an enthusiastic and overly eager rookie detective is being loved by every other critic. A little trivia on the side; she even insisted on keeping her own Irish accent for the film.
As far as the other lead is concerned, we have all seen and loved Sam Rockwell in various comic roles. His portrayal of Inspector Stoppard is one of many reasons audiences are hooked on the film. Also, the platonic chemistry with Saoirse’s Constable Stalker makes one root for both of them.
Where to Watch and stream ‘See How They Run’ Online?
See Where They Run was initially released by Searchlight Pictures on September 9th, 2022 in the UK and will be released in US theatres on September 16th. To check out the theatre listings near you, check out Fandango.
As far as streaming is concerned, currently, there’s no information about its release online. However, since See How They Run is distributed by Searchlight Pictures, one can expect it to land on Hulu in the upcoming months. The title should also be expected to be available for Rent on Video on Demand services by end of October.
