The first film from the series – Accident Man, starring Scott Adkins as the contract killer Mike Fallon introduces a firm base of its tonality. The Guy Ritchie hangover on its style was obvious and so was the humor’s insertion in an action thriller. Its sequel – ‘Accident Man 2: Hitman’s Holiday’ directed by George Kirby and Harry Kirby introduces different conflicts from his present and his past from which he needs to come to the other side, conquering all of them. This John Wick-like assassin seems to know all about how to make everything sway to his side and win any fight that comes along his way. Let’s find out what happens during its runtime.
Accident Man 2: Hitman’s Holiday (2022) Plot Summary and Movie Synopsis
The new comedy adventure film – Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday presents an entertaining blend of action and British humour. It is not the finest or the sharpest one in terms of its wit or sarcasm, but it has those insult humour dialogues that are sparingly spread across many comedies from England. The sequel’s story is written by Scott Adkins whereas the screenplay is written by Stu Small. The hitman protagonist of the film – Mike Fallon (Scott Adkins) is on a holiday, where he attends a music concert to kill the artist heading for an auditorium filled with an audience.
From London, he travels to Malta, an archipelago near Italy, and comes fully prepared with a bunch of fake IDs to cover his track. Right after he gets his payment for finishing his last assignment, he gets attacked by a hooded assassin. This person has an intense fight with Mike and after a lot of grunting and groaning, he manages to knock the person to the floor. In the end, he starts shouting ‘Flamingo’ repeatedly, which appears to be his safe word with Siu-ling (Sarah Chang). He met her in a bar fighting out some people and then became one of his associates. He tells her that they will meet next week when she mentions they might meet even earlier.
He still suffers from guilt over killing all his associates working for his father figure – Big Ray (Ray Stevenson). While walking down an alley, he comes across one of them whom he didn’t kill – Finicky Fred (Perry Benson). He helps him escape a bunch of hitmen, trying to beat the shit out of him. This comic relief character is introduced yet again in the sequel who is visiting this foreign land in the hope of meeting a lover in person, whom he spoke with online. Since he pays her some amount, Mike tells him that her asking him to come, is nothing but a scam for a lonely person like him. When they go back to Mike’s place, Fred gets introduced to Siu-ling, whom Mike has hired to plan out his techniques.
They start working on the jobs together for which Mike was hired. They have a pretty great time like the old times. After the success of one of their gigs, they get kidnapped by an Italian group of mafias, whose head is Mrs. Zuuzer (Flaminia Cinque), who has a bad reputation in their circuit. She introduces her son – Dante (George Fouracres) who chose to go down the path of being a pop star, which she distastes. The reason why Mike and Fred are caught by them is under suspicion that they were the ones who badly beat Dante. He denies these claims after which she tells them a CEO from Scandinavia has put out a contract on Dante. He needs to find the assassin and kill him. While he doesn’t accept the proposal right away, he is thrown out of their vehicle in the streets.
To relieve his stress, he decides to get a drink and he stumbles upon Big Ray, having his meal with a drink. They have a conversation filled with so many bad memories from their blood-fueled past. He learns that it was Big Ray who hurt the Zuuzer kid. Mike mentions, as a result of this mishap, they have kidnapped Fred, whose life is in danger if Dante’s life isn’t saved. Big Ray mentions that there’s a significant amount on the head of the family’s heir – Dante. So, this father-son duo is pitted against a battle by people who have assigned them to these dangerous tasks.
Mike rushes to get hold of Dante where he comes across a trained assassin, Freya du Preez (Zara Phythian) who he fights back against to save the kid and ends up killing her. He safely takes Dante out of the pub and comes across another assassin – Yendi (Faisal Mohammed), who is trying to kill the kid. Dante runs away like a scared kid when Yendi keeps attacking with his weapon. Mike manages to escape the place with Dante and then slits Yendi’s throat as he follows him. He takes the kid to a secret place where he orders him to extract the GPS signal that he engulfed earlier. Siu-ling also joins him in no time. She comes there to help him, but he requests her to go out right away.
That’s when Silas, the San Fransisco strangler (Peter Lee Thomas) shows up at the scene and during their verbal battle, Poco: The Killer Clown (Beau Fowler) also shows up. The psychopathic clown killer hits Silas down with his hammer and no matter how many ways they try to hurt him, he rises with a psychotic laugh. Meanwhile, in Siu-ling’s battle with Silas (who gets up in the meantime), she wins by strangling the strangler. Mike also keeps beating the killer repeatedly to the point where he accepts defeat. Meanwhile, Dante shits out his GPS signal tracker.
Accident Man 2: Hitman’s Holiday (2022) Movie Ending, Explained:
Does the conflict between Mike & Big Ray get resolved?
Right when Mike, Si-ling, and Dante are about to sing songs of victory, another assassin pokes fun at a famous hitman like him turning into a bodyguard. He asks Mike for a martial arts fight. While this assassin is about to attack him with a sword, he gets shot by Big Ray who shows up there by surprise. Big Ray is about to take Dante out and Mike goes on to stop him. During their verbal battle, several old wounds get opened up for a confrontation. Mike is angry at him for not having a moral compass and killing his ex-girlfriend without letting him be aware of his plan. Big Ray mentions them being just killers and that being their job for the pay they get.
Yet, after their emotional interactions, when Dante finally comes out and Big Ray gets a chance to shoot him, he resists doing so. He realizes something more important in life than just their jobs. Later, Mike hands over Dante to his mother and the Zuuzer family and gets hold of his friend, Fred. Right after that, they all get blown up in a fire caused by Big Ray. All three of them rejoice in ending the cause of their mission and fear altogether. In the end, even Fred gets a happy ending when his lover genuinely shows up, even if it was just for a night! Meanwhile, Mike and Big Ray seem to have their issues resolved and are jolly with one another, at least for the time being.
