He supports her emotionally and helps her search for a job. She confides in him about her past and her daughter’s health. When Noor is diagnosed with thalassemia and Uzma can’t afford treatment, Tahir suggests a naturopathy cure in Pakistan. Desperate and vulnerable, Uzma agrees to go with him, believing in his good intentions. Tahir has, by now, emotionally manipulated her.
The moment Uzma crosses the Wagah border, she senses danger. Tahir takes her to Buner, a region known for lawlessness. On the way, he drugs her. She later discovers that he brought her there to sell her. However, the buyers reject her because she isn’t young enough. Tahir then decides to keep Uzma for himself. How Does Uzma End Up in the Indian Embassy?

Uzma immediately calls her friend Shaheen in Malaysia. Shaheen’s husband, Aamir, works at the Indian Embassy in Islamabad. Aamir tells Uzma to come to the embassy and seek help. Uzma knows Tahir won’t let her go easily. But she also understands his weakness: money. She plays along, pretending to accept her situation. Uzma makes Tahir believe that she is ready to be a loving wife. She plants the idea of a family tradition where the bride’s family gives money to the couple after marriage.
Uzma lies that her family would give them ₹10 lakhs and says Aamir, her relative at the Indian Embassy, can help process the transaction. The mention of such a large amount blinds Tahir with greed. He agrees to take her to Islamabad, completely unaware that he is being lured into a trap. The moment Uzma steps into the Indian Embassy, she runs to the inquiry window. She tells Ayush, a junior staff member, that she is in danger. Ayush senses her desperation and lets her in. Soon after, Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh verifies her documents and confirms her story. Uzma ends up at the Indian Embassy through a mix of courage, quick thinking, and Tahir’s greed.

JP Singh knows that Uzma’s presence in the Indian Embassy could trigger diplomatic tension. She is safe for now, but without an official statement, the situation may backfire. He also understands Uzma’s hesitation. Facing Tahir again is emotionally crushing for her. Yet, a formal testimony is necessary, not only for Uzma’s legal protection but also to prove that the embassy is not detaining her. To ease the process, JP Singh comes up with a clever plan. Instead of forcing Uzma to confront Tahir directly, he decides to trick Tahir into thinking he still holds power. JP Singh asks his team to inform Tahir that he can come to the embassy to meet Uzma the next day. The intention is to stall him and keep him occupied, giving Uzma the time and emotional space to go to the magistrate and deliver her statement.
This tactic works because Tahir is overconfident and believes Uzma still belongs to him. He does not anticipate being outwitted by an experienced diplomat. However, JP Singh anticipates this and acts fast. He instructs lawyer Syed to file a preemptive reply. Syed, a fearless advocate for justice, does not hesitate to fight for Uzma. The judge demands Uzma’s personal appearance for the final hearing. The trial is set to be on camera, recognizing the sensitivity of the case. Though scared, Uzma agrees. JP Singh leads the Indian diplomatic team to court with her. On the way, Tahir tries to attack their convoy. But JP Singh’s team blocks him. Meanwhile, Sushma Swaraj keeps the pressure high on the Pakistani government, limiting the ISI’s involvement.
