[Watch] Love Knows No Bounderies in the super-angry trailer for “Kabir Singh”

The trailer for “Kabir Singh”, the official remake of Sandeep Venga’s own Telugu-Language drama “Arjun Reddy” is here. Produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series, the film stars Shahid Kapoor as the titular character. Kabir Singh is an alcoholic surgeon who’s self-destructive and angry persona knows no boundaries. The film is supposed to be a character drama that investigates the protagonist’s descent into drug abuse when Preeti (Kiara Advani) marries someone else.

While Arjun Reddy has been occasionally dissed for its overly sexist remarks, Vanga has confirmed that “Kabir Singh” has a few minute changes and is even more hard-hitting than his Tamil film. While Vanga’s first choice was Ranveer Singh, his is particularly happy that Shahid Kapoor is his lead actor and not Arjun Kapoor who was first roped in to play the character for the Hindi remake.

The trailer for “Kabir Singh” focuses entirely on the central character’s stubbornness and anger that has been indebted in him due to his over-passionate love for the girl who left him hanging to marry someone else. The main highlight of the trailer is definitely the undisputed and bonkers performance by Kapoor. Shahid has been know to essay similar hard-hitting roles in Haider and Udta Punjab, and Kabir Singh doesn’t look anything that he wouldn’t be able to pull off. The film chronicles the life of an alcoholic surgeon and his toxic relationship with the girl he is so madly in love with. Also releasing as Adithya Varma in Tamil, the trailer for Kabir Singh is now up on Youtube where it goes under the tags: “His love has no boundaries and passion that makes him unstoppable. Meet Dr Kabir Rajveer Singh!”
