My Killer Reunion (2023) Plot Summary & Movie Synopsis:

The film starts with James coming in angrily to talk to Victor at Victor’s place. James tells Victor to get away from his wife, Claire, while Victor says that he and Claire have a special connection. Victor even accuses James that since he has been cheating on Claire, it is better that he doesn’t interfere in this matter. The brawl turns into a fight when a neighbor comes and separates them. One year has passed, and we see Ethan running in the morning. He takes a while to catch his breath inside a forest when a pair of hands appear from the back and push him.

Later we realized that Ethan was James’ colleague at the hospital. James is a doctor by profession, and since Ethan is in a pretty bad state, he is required to do the shifts at the hospital. Claire, on the other hand, is on the way to spend a night with her friends at the college reunion. What raises the curiosity of Claire’s daughter, Iris, is that at the reunion, there will be Victor, and both Claire and James seem to be okay with it. Iris knows that Victor was the reason, a year ago, her parents were separated. She knows that James, too, had cheated on Claire. But seeing her parents okay with a problem from the past makes her feel uncomfortable. Anyway, Claire leaves for the party, while Iris shares her concern with her boyfriend, Simon.

What happens to Victor at the reunion party?

When Claire arrives at the party, everyone seems to take turns pulling legs since Victor is also going to be there. One of Claire’s old friends, Morgan, seems to be uncomfortable as she talks very little, but all of it is filled with awkward encounters with others. Anyway, Victor arrives at the party, and as usual, he finds a way to get close to Claire. Claire, however, resists a lot, and right at that moment, Whitney arrives at the scene.

At dinner, Whitney and Trevor start asking questions about whether Claire and Victor are feeling awkward since they had a special connection from the past. After dinner, Claire goes to her room, and after a while, she feels like going out for some reason. When she enters the garage, she spots Victor’s dead body and calls for help. James comes to the spot and brings Claire back to the home. Whitney doubts Claire as she has seen them together in an intimate situation.

What does Claire find out about Morgan?

From the very first time, Morgan seems to be under a lot of pressure and Claire knows she is hiding something. So, there comes a time when she decides to meet with Morgan. In the coffee shop, Morgan tells her that her plans of becoming a doctor never sat well with her ex-husband. She doesn’t reveal her ex-husband’s name until the very end, and it is Victor. Morgan is amazed knowing that Victor tortured her so badly that she was afraid of letting everyone know that they are a couple.

After talking to Claire, Morgan feels a lot less worried, and she asks Claire to come over to her place to have dinner. Before Claire gets ready to reach Morgan’s place, someone puts a snake inside her car. So, when Claire is halfway there, she sees the snake swirling around her leg, and she loses control of her car. She is unharmed, but her car is totally damaged. She calls Iris for help, and she comes to pick her up along with Simon.

Morgan reveals that Victor is her ex-husband, and she also talks about their son Simon. Morgan also tells Claire that Simon does not want her to hang out with her college friends. Since Simon has seen Victor torturing his mother since the early days of his childhood, Victor’s existence has turned into a trauma for him. It was not until Victor left them that Simon became overly protective of his mother. He does not like her mother hanging out with other people, as he thinks that they may harm her. This is one of the reasons why he does not like Claire coming to Morgan for dinner. Simon puts the snake inside the car so that Claire cannot come.

Also, knowing that Morgan was visiting her college friends at the reunion, Simon asked her again and again not to go in there. But Morgan is free for the first time, and she wants to meet and hang out with other people. She has been a victim of violence and oppression for so long, and now she wants to taste her freedom. But Simon, due to all his traumas, becomes overprotective by nature. Knowing that Victor will be there at the reunion, Simon thinks that this time he may take the opportunity to even kill Morgan. So, he kills Victor first to protect his mother from any harm. However, the reality is completely different, as Simon doesn’t know that Victor only wants to be with Claire. Well, he has been with other women, but at the reunion, Morgan is completely safe from Victor.

Is Claire able to save Iris from Victor?

By the time Claire knows about Simon’s identity, Iris is already spending time with him at Simon’s house. Claire will come with Morgan as soon as possible. James, too, arrives at the spot. Victor confesses to all the crimes and stabs James so that he can run away. However, Morgan asks him to surrender; he can start fresh, and she will be there to help. Simon is not listening to anything, so Morgan finally hits him with a wine bottle. Simon is sent for trials as Morgan tries to associate herself with a lonely life.

Claire is finally able to save her family from the crisis situation. James recovers from the stab wound. Iris, however, is still trying to digest the fact that Simon has faked his love only to know more about Claire and James. She has loved him truly, which turns out to be the saddest part of the saga. And yes, who has pushed Ethan from the back? Well, that was Victor.

It is true that Claire has moved on from her relationship with Victor, but Victor has not. He even kept hidden cameras to take snaps of Claire, which she found very recently while going through Victor’s staff. So, the plan was simple. Victor wants Claire without James hanging beside her. So, what does he do? He pushes Ethan so that James needs to be in the hospital and misses out on the opportunity to be there at the reunion party. In that way, Victor will be able to be intimate with Claire once again. Well, Claire refuses to participate in this, and Victor is killed by Simon. And the irony is that he dies for a whole different reason.
