Struggling to get an apt comeback? Well, then, you should definitely take notes from Jimmy Kimmel after his callback on Donald Trump. Recently, the film industry witnessed the glory of the biggest award show night, Oscars 2024. The grand event was hosted by renowned host Jimmy Kimmel.
The Oscars ceremony is not only famous for celebrating the victory of cinematic talents, but it’s also renowned for its unplanned notorious moments. When you read the word, ‘notorious’ you may recall the epic Chris rock slap moment. The incident was highlighted in the media for years, but the motive was never to glorify that. However, as I mentioned, such moments are unplanned and tend to just slip up. This year, something similar yet neatly moderate thing happened at the 96th Academy Awards. This year at the Oscars, the host, Kimmel, took a moment to counterattack the former president of the US, Donald Trump.
Donald Trump was brought down to earth by Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel
Donald Trump who served as the 45th president of the US, was roasted by host Jimmy Kimmel at biggest award award night. During the Oscars telecast, Kimmel took a moment to read aloud Donald Trump‘s latest social media post that slammed Kimmel as this year’s Oscars host.
Trump’s post read, “Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars? His opening was that of a less-than-average person trying too hard to be something that he is not and never can be. Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed-up but cheap ABC ‘talent,’ George Stephanopoulos. He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous. Also a really bad politically correct show tonight, and for years – Disjointed, boring, and very unfair. Why don’t they just give the Oscars to those that deserve them? Maybe that way, their audience and TV ratings will come back from the depths. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
To Trump’s long post, Kimmel came up with a hilarious reply that not only roasted Trump but certainly must have burned him from within. Kimmel said, “Blah, blah, blah … Okay, now, see if you can guess which former president just posted that on TruthSocial. Anyone? No? Well, thank you, President Trump. Thank you for watching. I’m surprised you’re still—isn’t it past your jail time?”
Kimmel’s response to Trump’s post was hailed by the audience. The host’s statement potentially referred to Trump’s multiple legal cases, ranging from financial fraud to election interference. Presently, the former President is charged with four felonies for trying to rig the 2020 election in Washington, DC; 13 felonies for interfering in Georgia’s elections; 34 felonies for allegedly paying Stormy Daniels hush money in New York; and 40 felonies for hoarding classified documents after his presidency and obstructing the government’s attempts to retrieve them in Florida.
2024 marks the fourth time Kimmel has hosted the Oscars.
