Louis Leterrier is a French film and television director who is best known for helming action thrillers like Fast X and The Transporter. Now, Louis Leterrier will be directing an upcoming sci-fi horror movie titled 11817. Recently, at CCXP MX, Leterrier teased that casting announcements would arrive soon. According to Deadline reports, Greta Lee and Kingsley Ben-Adir are being eyed to star in the horror film.
Lee’s recent acting credits include the critically acclaimed film Past Lives, directed by Celine Song. She was also part of Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. On TV, she starred in The Morning Show’s second and third seasons as one of UBA’s top executives, Stella Bak. Her other notable projects include Russian Doll and Problemista.
Meanwhile, Ben-Adir recently gave a phenomenal performance as Bob Marley in the 2024 biographical drama musical film titled Bob Marley: One Love. He was also in the summer blockbuster Barbie. His other notable roles include pathologist Marcus Summer in ITV’s Vera (2014โ2018), private detective Karim Washington on Netflix’s The OA (2019), Colonel Ben Younger in the BBC drama Peaky Blinders (2017โ2019), and the Skrull Gravik in the Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries Secret Invasion (2023).
The aforementioned actors indeed have an impressive resume and would be a great addition to Leterrier’s new film.

Louis Leterrier’s upcoming film 11817 ย description teases modern horror when “inexplicable forces trap a family of four inside their house indefinitely. As both modern luxuries and life or death essentials begin to run out, the family must learn how to be resourceful to survive and outsmart who โ or what โ is keeping them trapped.”
While Leterrier will helm the film, the script of the upcoming project is penned by Matthew Robinson. Robinson rose to prominence by writing and directing the film The Invention of Lying (2009) in collaboration with the English comedian Ricky Gervais. During a conversation, Leterrier praised Robinson’s script for being well-penned, saying, “First of all, it always starts with an idea and a script, and that script by Matthew Robinson was genius. Matthew writes comedy for Ricky Gervais, but he also writes Star Wars movies. Heโs an incredible writer.โ
As of now, only two names have been revealed who can be a potential cast member of 11817, and the rest of the casting is on the way.ย Leterrier revealed that production would start once casting was complete. Filming will begin on July 29 through September 15. He is producing the film with Thomas Benski and Omar Sy of Lupin fame through their new company, Carrousel Studios.
