Ziam is Netflix’s latest Thai horror action film, and it’s bringing fists to a zombie fight. Directed by Ong-art Singlumpong and starring Ananda Everingham and Chayanit Chansangavej, the film throws a retired boxer into a hospital teeming with the undead. The 95-minute zombie survival movie will be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix on 9th July, 2025. In this article, we’ll explore what Ziam is about, who’s in it, where it was filmed, and whether it’s worth your watchlist.
Movie Plot Overview:
Set in a world rocked by severe food shortages, Ziam follows Singh, a former Muay Thai boxer who just wants to retire peacefully with his girlfriend, Rin—a doctor at a city hospital. But when a sudden zombie outbreak engulfs the hospital, Singh is forced back into combat. Armed with nothing but his bare hands and training, Singh fights to rescue Rin and a young boy named Buddy who’s caught in the chaos. The premise is brutal, but the execution leans on tight choreography, gritty visuals, and emotional stakes rather than gore for gore’s sake. Unlike typical zombie movies that rely on firearms or military settings, Ziam roots itself in grounded hand-to-hand combat and the confined corridors of a hospital. The film delivers action and dread in equal measure.
