Follow” (Juegos de Seducción, 2025) is an emotional thriller that follows Sebastian — or Raul, depending on who’s asking — a smooth-talking conman who lives by one rule: everyone has a soft spot just waiting to be used. With his loyal partner Maclo always nearby, Sebastian slips into other people’s stories like a second skin, pulling strings and spinning lies to drain his marks dry. Among them are Leonor, a washed-up actress nursing old wounds; Ana, an ambitious entrepreneur with more dreams than sense; and Tamara, a wealthy older woman who thinks she’s found excitement in his arms.

Every new persona Sebastian invents is a careful construction — charm, secrets, half-truths — all built to make his victims hand him exactly what he wants: their trust, their money, their lives. But just when he’s ready to vanish for good and start fresh in Buenos Aires with his pregnant sister, Nadia, fate throws him a curveball. On a rainy night, a car crash introduces him to Carolina, a beguiling stranger with secrets of her own and a husband, Angel, whose wealth might just be Sebastian’s biggest score yet.

As he sinks deeper into Carolina’s world, his plan to swindle Angel with her help tangles with a feeling he didn’t expect — real love. Blinded by his obsession and the blurred lines between truth and lies, Sebastian begins to make reckless choices, risking not just his freedom but the very life he’s been trying to escape.

Follow (Juegos de Seducción, 2025) Plot Summary & Movie Synopsis:

The film opens with a narration by Sebastian, a conman, explaining that everyone has a story, and within those stories lie weaknesses that can be exploited. First, we meet Sebastian’s victim, Leonor, an actress left at the altar. To her, Sebastian is Thomas, a luxury designer. Next is Ana, who knows Sebastian as Xavier, an entrepreneurial mentor.

Then comes Tamara, an older woman, to whom Sebastian is Eduardo, a financial advisor. Meanwhile, Sebastian isn’t alone—his partner and best friend, Maclo, helps Sebastian research and gather Intel on each victim. After taking money from Tamara, Sebastian decides to quit the con game and move to Buenos Aires with his pregnant sister, Nadia, who is still in university.

Why does Maclo take pictures of Carolina and Sebastian?

However, Sebastian’s plans are disrupted one rainy night when a car driven by Carolina crashes into his. Then, Carolina, clearly distressed, begs Sebastian not to involve the insurance company. Since Carolina can’t pay, she hands over a chain as collateral and gives Sebastian her number. Afterward, Sebastian notices Carolina’s car won’t start, so he offers her a ride home.  Soon, Buenos Aires takes a back seat as Sebastian discovers Carolina is married to Angel, a wealthy man.

The next day, Carolina and Sebastian meet again. There, Sebastian lies about being divorced, and Carolina confesses she’s currently in the process of one. Later, Sebastian follows Carolina and sees Angel with another woman. When they meet again at a club, Carolina opens up about her past. After giving birth to Carolina’s daughter Julia, she suffered emotionally. One day, Carolina accidentally locked the baby inside, broke in to rescue her, only to be berated by Angel, unaware that the back door had been open all along.

While leaving the club, Carolina says she doesn’t believe Sebastian is sad about his ex, so Sebastian responds that it was a toxic relationship. So, breaking up made Sebastian happy. Later that night, Carolina comes to Sebastian’s hotel room and they have sex. Sebastian tells Carolina not to use the chain as an excuse to meet, and that she can meet Sebastian whenever she wants.

The next day, Carolina tells Sebastian that Angel has been asking uncomfortable questions, so they will need an excuse to meet. They take an afternoon dance class together. After the class, they have sex in the washroom. One day, Sebastian notices bruise marks on Carolina’s back. So, Sebastian asks Carolina to leave Angel. However, nothing is in Carolina’s name, and Angel has already told Carolina that if she leaves, then Carolina won’t get Julia’s custody. Outside, Sebastian kisses Carolina. From afar, Maclo takes pictures of them. The plan is to blackmail Carolina with the images.

How does Sebastian help Carolina?

They now dig into Angel and his associates’ lives. Sebastian has managed to get voice recordings of events surrounding Angel. Through those conversations, Sebastian learns about a charity gala. One night, Carolina calls Sebastian home as Angel is out on a trip. Furthermore, Carolina has turned the cameras off and sent the staff home.

While making dinner, Sebastian reveals that he has a sister and that his mother died when they were young. Later, Carolina reveals Angel insisted on having a paternity test. Once the results were in Carolina’s favour, Angel looked around for doctors who believed his story. Eventually, Angel had Carolina admitted to an institution for a year. Suddenly, Carolina gets a call from Julia, so she walks away. At that time, Sebastian looks around and finds out that Angel is building a stadium.

With that information, Sebastian tells Carolina that he has found a way for Carolina to be free from Angel without losing Julia. Because of this, Sebastian has to reveal what he does to Carolina. Instead of being angry, Carolina is happy to help Sebastian. Thanks to Carolina, Sebastian gets access to attend the charity gala.

At the charity gala, Sebastian needs to go under the name Juan, but when Sebastian arrives, he sees Leonor, so he improvises and tells everyone he is Thomas. In the washroom, Sebastian tells Angel that if he gives his company the construction contract, then he can keep 100% of the shares. Before leaving, Sebastian gives Angel his business card. Later that night, Carolina comes to Sebastian crying as she is afraid of Angel. So, Sebastian takes Maclo’s help to get Carolina a gun. During all this, Maclo is the only one who thinks there are red flags in this case.

How are Tamara and Carolina related?

Later, Angel asks to meet Sebastian once he checks the tax and charter documentation. After that, Maclo and Sebastian prepare the documents and groom themselves for the meeting. At the meeting, Sebastian and Maclo convince Angel to pay 75% of the money that day, as they don’t need to bear the risks since their construction company is just acting as a front for Angel’s project.

That night, Angel keeps his promise, and the money is transferred. At this time, Carolina and Sebastian are together. They drink and sleep together. The next day, Sebastian wakes up and realises he is late as he needs to pick Nadia up. In the washroom, Sebastian notices crushed tablets that are supposed to put him to sleep. Furthermore, Sebastian notices that his account balance is nil. Next to the laptop, there is champagne and Carolina’s necklace.

Now, Nadia arrives showing Sebastian a viral video that Ana has posted exposing Sebastian for his cons. Immediately, Sebastian takes Nadia to escape from the place. Unfortunately, Sebastian bumps into a man who has arrived to kill Sebastian. So, Sebastian kills the man and leaves with Nadia. They reach Maclo’s place, where Sebastian asks Maclo to take care of Nadia and leave if Sebastian does not return. Nadia is unable to believe everything that is going on.

Currently, Sebastian threatens Angel’s lover, who reveals that Carolina and Angel are already separated. Furthermore, Carolina lives in a different house. After taking the address, Sebastian reaches Carolina’s house and finds documents where Carolina fought a case about Angel abusing her, but lost. This led Angel to spread the information that Carolina is of unsound mind. In a book, there is a picture of Tamara and Carolina with the words, ‘My Goddaughter.’

Now, Sebastian tracks Angel’s messages and realises they have found Maclo. When Sebastian gets there, Maclo has been shot dead. So, Sebastian takes Nadia out of the closet, but she leaves Sebastian after seeing Maclo’s body. In a frantic state, Sebastian reaches the cabin in the woods and watches Carolina. From outside, Sebastian calls Carolina.

On the call, Carolina insists she had nothing to do with Maclo’s murder, and she didn’t mean to hurt Sebastian. It is revealed that Carolina picked Sebastian purposely after she realised he had conned Tamara. Now, Angel appears at the door, so Sebastian walks out as well. In anger, Angel shoots Sebastian’s feet and threatens to kill Carolina. Sebastian shoots Angel, killing him instantly. Immediately, Carolina calls an ambulance and the cops.

Carolina reveals that she chose Sebastian because she wanted to get Julia’s custody, and no one believed her story over Angel’s. By choosing Sebastian, she managed to put Sebastian behind bars, and Angel was killed. The money is transferred back to Sebastian’s account, so the cops have another piece of evidence. Furthermore, the other victims of Sebastian and Carolina were all working together. When the police arrive, Sebastian tells Carolina that he genuinely loves her.

In prison, Nadia meets Sebastian and tells him that Carolina has given her statement that Sebastian had acted in self-defence and that is how Angel was killed. So, Sebastian (real name Raul) will serve prison time only for conning people. All of Sebastian’s victims gained some benefit from this story breaking out. In the last scene, we see Carolina enter her apartment with Sebastian’s favourite song playing. On the mirror is Carolina’s necklace.

In the final scene, when Carolina smiles at the sight of the necklace instead of being furious, it says everything: she loves Sebastian — or Raul—just as much as he loves her. The necklace is proof he’s still out there, watching, waiting. When Carolina glances back, it’s almost certainly to catch a glimpse of him hiding in the shadows. Maybe their love won’t survive what they’ve done to each other, but in that moment, it’s clear they’re both still in it, tangled up in the same impossible feeling.

Carolina’s betrayal wasn’t really about greed — it was about getting custody of Julia, no matter the cost. Sebastian knew the risks. Maclo warned him not to get blinded by Carolina, not to go after Angel. But Sebastian went ahead anyway, and in trying to con Angel, he let his guard down and gave Carolina a glimpse of the real man behind the lies. That choice cost Maclo his life. As Carolina says, she didn’t kill Maclo — Angel did. But the blood is on Sebastian’s hands, too, because in the end, the only thing more dangerous than his schemes was the truth he let slip for love.
