Paul Thomas Anderson’s acclaimed action drama starring Leonardo DiCaprio is heading to digital platforms later this month following its successful theatrical run.
According to MovieWeb, One Battle After Another will be available digitally on November 20, 2025, with 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases scheduled for January 20, 2026.
The film, which premiered in theaters on September 26, 2025, features DiCaprio as a washed-up revolutionary living off the grid with his daughter, played by Chase Infiniti. When his old nemesis resurfaces and his daughter goes missing, he’s forced back into a chaotic world he thought he’d left behind. The film co-stars Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, and Regina Hall.
Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, One Battle After Another is loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. It has received widespread critical acclaim, currently holding a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film has also earned admiration from some of the industry’s biggest names. During an early screening, Steven Spielberg praised Anderson’s work, saying, “There is more action in the first hour of this than every other film you’ve ever directed put together… It’s really incredible.”
Pop icon Taylor Swift also expressed her enthusiasm on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, calling the film “insane” and lauding performances from DiCaprio, Del Toro, and Taylor. “We are so lucky to be alive at the same time as Paul Thomas Anderson,” she added.
Despite glowing reviews, the film’s box office performance has been mixed. As of now, One Battle After Another has earned $191.2 million worldwide against an estimated budget of $130–170 million, with industry projections suggesting Warner Bros. may take a loss of around $100 million. To break even, the film would need to gross roughly $300 million.
One Battle After Another releases on digital platforms on November 20, 2025, followed by Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray on January 20, 2026.
