After nearly a decade of anticipation, the award-winning espionage thriller The Night Manager returns for a high-stakes Season 2 on Prime Video and the BBC. Season 1 captivated audiences as former British soldier Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) went undercover to dismantle the empire of the “worst man in the world,” arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie). The explosive finale saw Roper hauled away by his vengeful victims, leaving Pine finally free—but deeply scarred.

In Season 2, set eight years later, Pine has traded his hotel uniforms for an MI6 desk job under the alias Alex Goodwin, leading a surveillance unit known as the “Night Owls.” However, the ghosts of his past resurface when a chance sighting of a former Roper mercenary pulls him into a deadly new conspiracy in Colombia, where he must infiltrate the inner circle of a charismatic but dangerous mogul, Teddy Dos Santos.

The Cast of The Night Manager Season 2

Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine (aka Alex Goodwin)

Tom Hiddleston (Jonathan Pine / Executive Producer)

Tom Hiddleston reprises his Golden Globe-winning role as the titular “Night Manager.” Now working for MI6 in London, Pine has spent years trying to lead a quiet life, but his moral fury remains. When he discovers a connection between his old nemesis, Richard Roper, and a new South American threat, he abandons his desk job to go back into the field. This season, Hiddleston portrays a more cynical, battle-hardened Pine who must decide how much of his own soul he is willing to sacrifice to stop a new generation of monsters.

Diego Calva as Teddy Dos Santos

Diego Calva (Teddy Dos Santos)

The central antagonist of Season 2 is Teddy Dos Santos, played by Babylon star Diego Calva. Teddy is a suave Colombian businessman who uses his philanthropic image to mask a massive operation involving the training of a private guerrilla army. Unlike the old-school imperialist villainy of Roper, Teddy represents a modern, volatile threat. His chemistry with Pine is electric, creating a tense “cat and mouse” dynamic that drives the season’s tension.

Camila Morrone as Roxana Bolaños

Camila Morrone (Roxana Bolaños)

Daisy Jones & The Six breakout star Camila Morrone plays Roxana, a sharp and fiercely independent businesswoman. Roxana acts as Pine’s primary link to the Dos Santos organization. Far more than a traditional love interest, she is a survivor with her own agenda. Her reluctant partnership with Pine is built on a foundation of mutual suspicion, as both characters struggle to navigate a world where betrayal is the only constant.

Olivia Colman as Angela Burr

Olivia Coleman as Angela Burr

Returning as Pine’s stalwart handler, the Academy Award-winning Olivia Colman brings Angela Burr back to the screen. Season 2 finds Burr still navigating the murky waters of British Intelligence, now feeling a deep maternal responsibility for Pine. While her role begins in the shadows, she remains the tactical heart of the operation, ensuring Pine has the support he needs to survive the Colombian underworld.

Noah Jupe as Daniel Roper

In a moving return to the series, Noah Jupe reprises his role as Daniel, the son of Richard Roper. Now a young man, Daniel is living with the psychological trauma of his father’s violent legacy. His character serves as a vital bridge between the two seasons, reminding Pine—and the audience—of the human cost of the international arms trade.

Indira Varma as Mayra

Indira Varma as Mayra Cavendish

Indira Varma joins the cast as Mayra, a high-ranking official within the “River House” supervisory council. As the head of the intelligence team in Colombia, Mayra represents a new level of bureaucracy and potential double-crossing. Her presence adds a layer of political intrigue, as Pine begins to suspect that his own superiors may be in league with the very man he is trying to take down.

Paul Chahidi as Basil

Basil is a senior official within the British Intelligence Service. He works as a key logistical strategist alongside Mayra and Pine, coordinating the complex moving parts of the undercover sting operation.

Hayley Squires as Sally

Working under the leadership of Burr and Basil, Sally is a junior MI6 operative. She represents the new generation of intelligence officers tasked with the groundwork and surveillance necessary to keep the operation running smoothly from the shadows.

Alex Mugnaioni as Graham

Joining the intelligence fold, Graham is part of the operational team assisting Pine during his high-stakes movements in South America.

Raphel Famotibe as Mike

Mike is another key member of the support staff, providing technical or field assistance as the team attempts to infiltrate the inner circle of the Colombian arms trade.

Anil Desai as Waleed

Waleed appears as a supporting figure who is likely tied to the international connections of the arms operation, representing the global reach of the trade Pine is trying to stop.

Gijs Naber as Jaco Brouwer

Jaco Brouwer enters the fold as a character involved in the criminal underworld, potentially serving as a link between the European and South American factions of the illegal arms trade.

Annabel Mullion as Celia Mayhew

Celia Mayhew is introduced as a supporting character who navigates the upper-crust social circles that often intersect with the world of international espionage and high-level crime.

Kerr Logan as Adam Holywell

Adam Holywell is a new face in the second season, adding further depth to the ensemble of characters Pine encounters as he moves deeper into his undercover identity.

Mario Bolaños as General Horacio Sánchez

Representing the local power structures in Colombia, General Sánchez is a pivotal supporting character. His presence highlights the complex relationship between the military, the government, and the criminal organizations that Pine must navigate.
