Last year was a blooming period for Bollywood as audiences witnessed numerous blockbusters, including Pathan and Jawan, both making their entry into the 1000-crore club. Like last year, this year is also packed with even more entertaining films that viewers can look forward to. Here is a list of the top 10 most anticipated Hindi films expected to gain massive traction in 2024.
Fighter (January 25, 2024)
Ever since the announcement of the collaboration between the two super-hot actors, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, Fighter has generated extraordinary buzz among the audience. Directed by Siddharth Anand, this action-packed film is all set to release on January 25, 2024.
Kalki 2898 AD (May 9, 2024)
South Indian superstar Prabhas is all set to bring another high-budget sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD, this year. Made on a budget of 600 crores (US$75 million), the film is said to be India’s most expensive film ever made. Looking at the star cast, which includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, the film seems to have high potential to generate returns much more than invested.
Yodha (March 15)
Karan Johar’s student, Siddharth Malhotra, seems to have taken the route of becoming a professor when it comes to choosing films. After his blockbuster film Shershaah, Malhotra is once again back to ignite the feeling of patriotism among the fans with his upcoming film Yodha, scheduled to release on March 25, 2024.
The Crew (March 22)
When two incredible filmmakers like Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor join hands, something unexpected has to be expected. It seems like the ladies have sworn to increase the temperature, as beauties of three generations—Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon—will be seen sharing the screen in the upcoming film The Crew.
Metro… In Dino (March 29)
What would you call too much glamour in one frame? I guess Anurag Basu’s upcoming anthology is the answer to it, titled Metro… In Dino. Considering Basu’s previous work, something amazing can be expected from this much-awaited flick that features Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fasal, Konkana Sen Sharma, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, and Anupam Kher.
Mr and Mrs Mahi (April 19)
The name says it all. After the great biopic of Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the time has come to witness his love story. The cherry on top is that this time the character of Dhoni will be played by Rajkumar Rao, and Jahnvi Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of Mrs. Mahi.
Singham Again (August 15)
The Cop Universe, created by Rohit Shetty, takes a new twist as, this time, the khaki uniform is worn by the one and only Deepika Padukone. Put Padukone in any mold, and she will take the finest shape. So this time, when the actress has donned the police uniform, it will be interesting to witness her in an all-new form. Reportedly, Padukone will be portraying the role of Ajay Devgan’s sister Shakti Shetty.
Stree 2 (August 30)
There are only a few films that can do justice to the horror-comedy genre, and the best example of this is Stree. The film is back after six years, and we can be nothing more than thrilled and petrified to once again roam the streets of Chanderi with the most amazing star cast, including Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi.
Jigra (September 27)
Perhaps just stating that the film features Alia Bhatt would be sufficient. With films like Raazi, Gangubai, and Darlings, Bhatt has proven to be one of the best actresses in Bollywood. Now, the actress is back with another flick to make everyone go wild. Interestingly, this time Bhatt isn’t just the actress in the film; she is also co-producing it.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (Diwali 2024)
After Akshay Kumar passed the baton of the “Bhool Bhulaiya” film franchise to Kartik Aaryan, he has indeed done justice to the horror-comedy film as Rooh Baba. Once again, the actor is back to deal with the evils in the abandoned hallways of the Bhawanigarh mansion. Although not much has been revealed about the film, it is supposed to be released around the Diwali period.
