High On Films

Arijit Paul

In between writing and making films, Arijit dives deep into the worlds of horror, true crime, westerns, and slow-burning noir. A storyteller at heart and a cinephile by compulsion, he explores the intersections of genre, politics, and human frailty—on screen and on the page. His love for historical fiction, moody aesthetics, and the finer details of life—whether it’s sketching, cooking up new recipes, or wandering through old cities—finds its way into everything from his screenplays to his reviews. He also co-hosts Talking Pictures, a podcast where two cinephiles dig into films with honesty over hype.
