Priyanca Ambalvi
Priyanca Ambalvi is a writer, photographer, and filmmaker based in Goa, India. Raised across India, Nepal, Brazil, Cyprus, and Scotland, she identifies as a Third Culture Kid, an experience that informs her ongoing exploration of identity, belonging, and displacement.
Her current work focuses on caste, gender, and the Dalit experience, both within India and across the diaspora. Having โcome outโ as Dalit in recent years, she embraces the belief that the personal is political, approaching storytelling through the Dalit Female Gaze as a form of creative resistance and cultural intervention.
In 2019, she founded Anthill, a multimedia company focused on communication strategy and content production. Over the past five years, she has produced films for corporates, NGOs, government agencies, and start-ups.
She is currently a resident at Uberbau_House in Sรฃo Paulo, working on a memoir that explores caste, gender, and displacement through personal narrative, cultural critique and memory work.
