Shefali Khan
Shefali Khan is a Delhi-based documentary filmmaker and media professional, trained in Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia. Her work centers on stories from marginalized communities, with a focus on empathy-driven, socially engaged storytelling. Her documentary Because I Couldn’t Stop For Death (2024) received the Best Documentary (Critics’ Choice) award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival and the International Kolkata Short Film Festival (2025). Shefali has worked with Khabar Lahariya and Newsreel Asia, contributing across filmmaking, journalism, and multimedia production.
