Timpson, known for his darkly comedic films like “Come to Daddy,” takes a lighter turn with Bookworm. This time, he reunites with Elijah Wood (“Yellowjackets”) alongside newcomer Nell Fisher (“Evil Dead Rise”).
The story follows Mildred, an imaginative bookworm obsessed with capturing proof of a mythical beast called the Canterbury Panther. When her long-lost father, Strawn Wise (played by Wood), a washed-up magician, unexpectedly arrives, their unlikely family bond is put to the test. Together, this mismatched pair embarks on a hilariously absurd camping trip, facing challenges and forging a connection along the way.
