New character design duties are shared by Takasemaru, Keisuke Kojima and Yuri Fujinaka, replacing Reiko Nagasawa from Season 1.

Story Overview
Set after the defeat of the Demon King, the story follows the elf mage Frieren as she outlives her former companions and begins to reckon with time, memory and loss. Taking on a new apprentice, she travels to honor the wishes of those she once fought beside. The series explores what remains after victory and how different lifespans shape the meaning of friendship.
About the Original Manga
The anime adapts the award-winning manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 2020. The series has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation worldwide.
English publication is handled by Viz Media. The manga is currently on an indefinite hiatus as the creators focus on their health and reassess the serialization pace.
