The official awards of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival have been announced, and โFather Mother Sister Brother,โ directed by Jim Jarmusch (USA, Ireland, France), won the Golden Lion Award.
According to the report of Mansour Jahani, an independent and international cinema journalist, at the closing ceremony of the 82nd Venice international film festival, the winners were announced by the five international Juries during the Awards Ceremony that was held on Saturday 6th September at 7:00 pm 2025 at the Sala Grande movie theater in the city of Venice, Italy, and the winners of various competition, including; The Main Competition, the Orizzonti competition, the Immersive competition and the Orizzonti Extra were introduced and the prestigious Golden Lion award for the best film and other awards of this film event were awarded to the winners.
The winners of the International Competition
The International Jury for the main Competition of the 82nd Venice Film Festival, consisted of 7 international film personalities including; French director and screenwriter Stรฉphane Brizรฉ; Italian director and screenwriter Maura Delpero; Romanian director, writer and producer Cristian Mungiu; Iranian director and writer Mohammad Rasoulof; Brazilian actress, writer and screenwriter Fernanda Torres; and Chinese actress Zhao Tao, announced their opinions as follows:
