Premalu: OTT Release Date & Where to Stream

Sachin, an engineering graduate, is too shy to express his feelings for a girl he loves in college. His plans to move to the U.K. are dashed when his visa application is rejected. Reluctant to stay in his hometown, he turns to his friend Amal Davis for help. Amal, who is heading to Hyderabad for GATE coaching, agrees to take Sachin along. At a wedding, Sachin meets Reenu and instantly falls for her. The film “Premalu” (Love Stories), directed by Girish A. D., follows the journey of these characters. Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju star in the lead roles, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan M, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan, Althaf Salim, and Mathew Thomas in an extended cameo appearance. Vishnu Vijay composed the music, while Ajmal Sabu and Akash Joseph Varghese handled the cinematography and editing. After having gotten its share of eyeballs in its theatrical run, Premalu is touted to have its OTT Release soon.

Premalu premiered on February 9, 2024, receiving critical acclaim for its engaging narrative, memorable music, humor, and stellar performances by the cast. Despite being made on a budget of 3 crore, the film achieved blockbuster status at the box office. It joined the elite ranks of Malayalam cinema, becoming only the fifth film to surpass the ₹100 crore mark. Currently, it stands as the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film ever and the second highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024.

For audience members who missed out on the love-lorn Malayalam film, Permalu now has an OTT Release Date. The ‘Love Stories’ will land online on April 12th, 2024.
