July 2024 brings forth horror, thriller, and sci-fi content to Shudder, starting with two new Shudder Originals. “Arcadian,” directed by Benjamin Brewer, streams on July 12 and features Nicolas Cage as Paul, a father trying to protect his twin sons in a post-apocalyptic world where deadly creatures emerge at night. Following on July 26 is “Humane,” Caitlin Cronenberg’s directorial debut, which centers on a family’s chaotic dinner amidst a mandatory population reduction after an environmental collapse. Alongside these originals, “The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs” continues its sixth season with new episodes airing biweekly, premiering live on July 5 and July 19, and on-demand two days after each live premiere.
