The highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film Deadpool & Wolverine is being hailed for all the right reasons. While fans eagerly await seeing Hugh Jackman donning his Wolverine costume once again after years, Swifties are also looking forward to witnessing Taylor Swift’s MCU debut with Deadpool & Wolverine. Though her involvement in the movie is still in the realm of speculation, the singer’s role in the film may have been revealed.

Taylor Swift’s Potential Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine

According to ComicBookMovie, Swift discussed the Blonde Phantom role with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Marvel has previously considered adding the character to its superhero slate. MCU veteran Scarlett Johansson was also considered for the role before debuting as the Black Widow in Iron Man 2.

Deadpool & Wolverine lead actor Ryan Reynolds recently addressed the cameo rumors surrounding the film, saying, “You know, movies like this… there’s so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film. I saw one that was convinced that Elvis was in the movie. Anything can happen, and that’s sort of what I love about this universe. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”

It has been months since rumors about Swift’s MCU debut have been swirling around. Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy previously addressed a possible appearance from the singer as Dazzler in the movie. He said, “I can’t even believe that you would dare ask me a question you know I can’t answer. You know I can’t answer. The proliferation of rumors about who is and isn’t in this movie is fabulous. Because no one will ever know the truth until July 26.”

These cryptic answers from the movie’s makers and stars make us curious to know more about such cameos. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the rumor about Swift’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, if it does come to fruition, it will be an exciting treat for both Swifties and MCU fans alike.

Who is Blonde Phantom?

The Blonde Phantom, also known as Louise Grant, is a lesser-known character from Marvel Comics’ Golden Age. Created by Stan Lee and Syd Shores, the character first appeared in 1946’s All Select Comics #11.

The journey of Louise Grant to becoming Blonde Phantom starts with a pursuit of helping her boss by fighting crime. Although she does not have powers like other superhero characters, she is athletic, skilled in martial arts, and armed with a.45-caliber pistol. Her attire depicts the vigor in her personality as she dons a glamorous red evening gown with a slit for mobility, a black domino mask, and high heels. She used her investigative skills to solve crimes and often saved her boss, Mason, who didn’t know her secret identity.

Despite fading into obscurity after her debut, Blonde Phantom returned in The Sensational She-Hulk in the late 1980s, revealing she had married Mark and grown old in real-time. As Jennifer Walters’ legal secretary, she often reminisced about her past as the Blonde Phantom. If the character does make more than a cameo appearance in the MCU by way of Swift, she would likely appear in a period-specific piece.
