Renowned actor Woody Harrelson is making a return to the crime thriller genre once again for “Lips Like Sugar.” Fans will get to see Harrelson in this genre almost a decade since he last appeared in HBOโ€™s “True Detective” Season 1. Considering his previous acclaimed performances, it’s nothing more than exciting to witness him again in a crime thriller. Nonetheless, what’s cherry on top of this is his reunion with “Natural Born Killers” co-star Juliette Lewis. Harrelson will also be starring opposite Owen Wilson in the upcoming film.

Woody Harrelson will soon be seen in the upcoming neo-noir thriller “Lips Like Sugar.” The film will feature Harrelson and Owen Wilson in the lead roles. They will be joined by a talented star cast, and one more name added to its ensembled cast is Juliette Lewis. According to Deadline, Lewis is officially joining “Lips Like Sugar.” The film will mark the reunion of Lewis and Harrelson, who worked together in Oliver Stone’s 1994 movie “Natural Born Killers.”

The rest of the upcoming film’s star cast includes The Boys star Erin Moriarty, rising scream queen Kathryn Newton (“Freaky,” “Lisa Frankenstein”), and Sasha Calle. Meanwhile, Lewis will play the role of the mother of Newtonโ€™s Tracy.

The upcoming film will mark the feature-length directorial debut of Brantley Guiterrez, a music video director. Penned by Anthony Tambakis, he is also the co-producer of the film alongside Harrelson, Gutierrez, Russ Posternak, Kevin Chinoy, Francesca Silvestri, Jeremy Plager, Greg Lauritano, Kyle Schember, Anna Schwartz, and Zac Adams.

Oscar-nominated composer and former Arcade Fire member Will Butler (Her) has also boarded the project to compose its score.

Talking about the lead actors of the film, Harrelson and Wilson, will seen portraying the respective roles of homicide detectives John Carr and Phil Harris, who are on a quest to solve a possible serial killer case, “while police and city officials demand that all murders in LA be labeled Missing Persons until the Olympic torch is doused, and the international media has left town.”

The logline of the film reads, “The detectivesโ€™ paths cross with Tracy Anderson and Andi Campos, a pair of teenage girls who form a fast and intense friendship. When Tracy disappears, Carr, Harris, and Andi race a ticking clock to find her.”

Production on” Lips Like Sugar” is expected to begin later this March in L.A.
