The first time I saw the “Kota Factory,” I realized maybe studies are not that difficult and all we need is the right teacher. Jitendra Kumar, who became a household name with his character of Jeetu Bhaiya, is once again back in the role of an influential teacher whose teachings give all of us some great life lessons. Netflix India recently dropped the trailer for the upcoming “Kota Factory” season, and we just can’t keep calm. As usual, we get to see Jeetu Bhaiya encouraging his students to crack the IIT entrance examination with a good rank. Apart from the engaging plotline, humor, and philosophies of students’ lives, this time, the “Kota Factory” is also blessed with the inclusion of some new faces.
What is in store for Kota Factory’s new season?
Following the success of its last two seasons, “Kota Factory” is now all set with its upcoming third installment. The trailer for the highly anticipated series was recently dropped by Netflix, giving a glimpse of what can be expected from the new season. The trailer begins with Jitendra Kumar’s Jeetu Bhaiya talking at a podcast show, where he says that there is a lot of importance placed on the idea of getting that seat rather than the preparation required for it. In his confident approach to life, the series is indeed bombarded with Jeetu Bhaiya’s profound dialogue, as in the trailer, we see him saying, “Jeet ki tayyari nahi, tayyari hi jeet hai bhai.”
The series has more to it, as the plot will hook the viewers and make them binge it all at once. The tension escalates as, despite having a motivational teacher like Jeetu Bhaiya, the pressure around the upcoming entrance examinations leaves Vaibhav (Mayur More) and his bunch of friends doubting whether they are prepared enough to crack the exam.
As you watch the trailer, a surprise awaits you: Acclaimed actress Tillotama Shome has joined the cast of “Kota Factory” season 3. As the trailer proceeds, Shome enters as a kind and patient teacher in the same institute who proclaims how these centers are no longer used to sharpen the capacities of the students but have now turned into ‘mass productions.’
Created by Saurabh Khanna, the story of “Kota Factor”y revolves around Kota, Rajasthan, an educational hub famous for its coaching centers. The show follows the life of 16-year-old Vaibhav (Mayur More), who moves to Kota from Itarsi. It shows the lives of students in the city and Vaibhav’s efforts to get into the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) by cracking the Joint Entrance Examination.
Khanna claimed that the show aims to change the popular narrative surrounding Kota and the preparation for IIT-JEE & NEET in Indian pop culture to a more positive one.
Season 1 of the show premiered in 2019 on TVF Play and YouTube before getting picked up by Netflix India for season 2 in 2021.
“Kota Factory” season 3 is set to release on June 20 on Netflix.
