How does Lee Escape the Jail with Kendrick?
Lee doesn’t know that the FBI, led by Agent Ron Kaylor, had been monitoring Dobbs for a while. Kaylor had planted a mole, Kang, within Dobbs’ operation. Kang’s careless actions, including a suspicious order of Hawaiian pizza, led to his exposure as a traitor. Lee asks Travis to meet with an old friend named Sean and asks him to meet him at a particular place. Breaking into Jackson State Prison is no small feat, even for someone with Lee’s abilities. However, Lee secures his landing from the sky by throwing lots of smoke bombs. Once inside, Lee finds and kidnaps Kendrick, knowing that Dobbs values his father more than anything.
What does Travis Learn about Lee?
Dobbs does indeed love his father. But he is reluctant to have him released from jail. He is determined to prove his capability to run the business just as Kendrick did. However, Kendrick does not trust Dobbs, as fathers often find it difficult to entrust significant responsibilities to their children, regardless of the circumstances. Meanwhile, Lee meets with Sean. Together, they drive Kendrick to a separate location, where Lee will take him to Dobbs for the exchange. During this time, Travis learns something profound about his father from Sean.
Sean reveals to Travis that they all owe Lee a great debt. During a mission, Lee single-handedly took down an entire Al-Qaeda group to help the rest of his squad escape. Unfortunately, Lee was captured and tortured for nearly a year. Travis realizes they had unfairly blamed Lee for his absence from the family, not knowing the actual reason. Lee had never explained what happened because he believed seeking sympathy would not justify his absence. The guilt of not being there when David died has haunted Lee ever since.

The film’s climax unfolds in the helicopter, where Lee brutally fights Dobbs and Chao. In a dramatic moment, Lee kicks Dobbs out of the chopper, ending the gang leader’s reign of terror.
