Death Whisperer 2 (2025) Plot Summary & Movie Synopsis:
The film opens with a battle in 1854. Soldiers try to escape from enemies’ attacks when Puang gets hit by one of them. At that time, Puang sees the black female ghost who offers to help him escape death if Puang takes the ghost inside him. In a desperate desire to live, Puang agrees, so the black female ghost cuts her tongue and shoves it inside Puang’s mouth. This ghost, known as Puang’s ghoul, killed Yam in the previous movie. Three years after Yam’s death, in 1975, Yak is on a mission to find Puang’s ghoul to destroy it. In those years, Yak had a reputation for becoming a ghost hunter and taking down many ghosts.
Today, Yak confronts one such ghost. The ghoul, like most, is adamant about killing Yak and Sarge (Paphan). However, the duo have many tricks up their sleeve. When the ghost realizes that it cannot escape Yak’s torture, the ghost listens to Yak. So, Yak tells the ghost that he will help him cross over if the ghost reveals where Puang’s ghoul can be found. The ghost takes the offer and reveals that he is unaware of where the ghost is, but the man who keeps the ghost can be found in Dong Khomote. Once the information is given, Sarge helps the ghost leave the man’s body and enter a catfish’s body. However, Yak burns the fish, sensibly killing the ghost.
Who is Leuchai?
As Sarge has been inside Dong Khomote before, Yak asks for his advice. Legend has it that Puang was the first recorded ghoul in Siam. The ghoul under Puang’s control ate three villagers during that time. The villagers call monks to kill the ghoul, but it does not work. From there, Puang fled to Dong Khomote. Dong Khomote is not a city but a jungle filled with supernatural beings. Meanwhile, Yad soon marries a man called Pradit, and preparations have begun. The families meet, but Yak arrives late and tries to scare Pradit. However, Yak accepts Pradit wholeheartedly after teasing him a bit.
That night, Yak is determined to find Puang’s ghoul and kill her. Later that night, Yos and Yod tell Yak that although their father does not show it, he also believes the ghoul is lurking around. After a while, Yad comes out, thanks Yak for his sacrifice, and asks him to return from the expedition safely. In Uttaradit, Yak’s car breaks down, and nobody from the village is willing to lend their vehicle as Yak enters Dong Khomote. At this time, a man named Luechai wants to join Yak and Sarge as he is also looking for Puang’s ghoul. Sadly, Yak thinks this man is a fake. So Luechai reveals that Puang’s ghoul’s first three victims were Luechai’s great-grandfather’s daughters. Hearing this, Yak and Sarge let Luechai join them.
How did the villagers ruin Puang’s plan?
The group now has many more members, accompanied by Sem, a hunter, and a shaman; Leuchai’s nephews Jirasak and Nawin; and a porter named Khom. Before entering the forest, Sarge asks permission from the forest to fulfill their mission. The journey begins. On their way, Sarge tells the group about werecats. The spirits that possess a tiger are called a werecat. They are so powerful that they can transform into human beings. As they continue, Sarge asks the boys not to acknowledge strange visions or sounds.
In 1893, when Puang was away, the villagers brought a monk and burned Puang’s house. Unfortunately, it looks like Puang was trying to destroy the ghoul, but the villagers ruined the plan. According to Leuchai, Puang sent the ghoul to kill everyone in his family. The reason Leuchai has survived is because of the Pitsamon amulet. The group faces the first hurdle as a snake blocks their path. The group does not move so that the snake can slither away. However, the snake circles around Yak and returns to its initial position. Analyzing this behavior, Sarge says the forest guardian does not want the troop to continue. By then, Sem approaches the snake, intending to harm it, but the snake starts biting Sem.
How do the ghosts in the forest affect the group?
Seeing this, Sak shoots the snake. Now, Sarge yells at him for breaking the rules of not harming animals. Since Sem is the guide and is dead, Leuchai asks Yak and Sarge to lead the way. The group is losing daylight, and the forest is coming alive, so they decide to camp out for the night. Meanwhile, Yad and Yee hang out when Puang’s ghoul possesses Yee. The ghoul inside Yee tells Yad she has not gone anywhere, and Yee pulls out one of her teeth. As Yad tries to escape, the ghoul tries to kill her. Thankfully, the family arrives on time and helps Yad. In the forest, the group has made a makeshift platform on the trees as it is unsafe to be on the ground.
Suddenly, Sem comes to the group asking for help, but the group knows a ghost is playing tricks. However, Sak has started to hallucinate and thinks Sarge has asked him to climb down. When Sak climbs down, ghost Sem starts to mess with his head. While shooting at Sem, Sak hurts Khom. In the end, Sak is killed. After some time, Sarge says a salt lick can save them. Usually, salt licks are found in open areas. Now that Khom is dead, he turns into a ghost and tries to attack the group. The group fights Khom and runs around, looking for a salt lick. Because of fear and chaos, Nawin loses his way and is away from the group. The forest whispers and Nawin starts to hallucinate. When Nawin gets hurt and is bleeding, he sees many ghosts waiting to feed on him.
How does the ghoul find Puang?
There is a sudden growl; Nawin is split into two and is killed instantly. The trio find the salt lick and start spreading it around them. After a while, Nawin arrives and asks Leuchai for help. By now, Yak is experienced in knowing if it’s a ghost or human, so he does not permit Nawin to enter the space. When Nawin is asked to recite a mantra, he does not say it. It looks like Nawin is a werecat. Seeing this form, Yak talks to the werecat, asking it to leave them alone. Surprisingly, the werecat leaves. Elsewhere, Yak’s family leaves the house to make preparations for Yad’s wedding. The following day, the trio finds Puang’s abode in the forest. When they enter the space, they see voodoo dolls around.
The forest whispers and Sarge comes face-to-face with Puang. Sarge’s threats are useless as Puang has Sarge’s voodoo doll. Using the doll, Puang harms Sarge but does not kill. This time, Yak has a conversation with Puang. Through the conversation, Puang reveals that he has been unable to escape from the ghoul’s hold for many years. Through Puang, the ghoul looks for victims and satisfies herself. The reason Puang cannot escape is because the ghoul’s tongue is in his stomach. Because of Leuchai’s great-grandparents, Puang’s ritual was broken, and the ghoul was set free again. The ghoul cannot find Puang because he is wearing a Wirunchambang amulet. In anger, Leuchai cuts Puang’s hand with the amulet, so Puang tells Yak that it is his responsibility to kill the ghoul. As soon as this happens, the ghoul arrives and takes her tongue back.
How is Yak alive?
The ghoul kills Leuchai and walks towards Yak. The whispers become strong, and Yak shoots himself in the chest. There is a thunderstorm near Yad’s wedding hotel, and the family is stuck inside. The family is setting things up and hoping Yak will arrive on time. For a while, Yad, Yee, and their mother go up the stairs to get some ribbons. The lights go off at that time, and the floor starts to creek. The whispers are heard, and the family tries to fight them with the tricks Yak has taught them. Since Pradit does not know what to do, he is affected by the whispers. In that possessive state, Pradit harms his future father-in-law and Yos. The ghoul finds Yak’s mother and possesses her. Thankfully, Yod knocks Pradit down, and the men are safe.
Meanwhile, Yee fights ghosts one after the other. When Yee feels afraid, she remembers Yak’s words about ignoring the ghost and eating candy. So Yee does as she was told. Suddenly, Yee sees her mother and is happy but soon realizes that a ghost is possessing her mother. The mother now chases after Yee, wanting to kill Yee. When the mother is about to strike Yee, Yos saves Yee. Next, the mother is about to attack Yod, and in time, Yak arrives with an injury. The ghost does not understand how Yak is still alive. The reason Yak is alive is because of a yantra that Puang drew on the voodoo doll that saved Yak from getting hurt by the bullet. Now, Yak uses an amulet to drive away the ghost possessing his mother.
Death Whisperer 2 (2025) Movie Ending Explained:
Yak’s Final Confrontation with the Ghoul
Since Yad has felt guilty for Yam’s death, Yad sees visions of Yam. For a while, Yad thinks she is talking to Yam but soon realizes the ghoul wants Yad’s body as a vessel. Although Yad tries to fight the visions, the ghoul pulls out a tooth. The ghoul is about to swallow the tooth, but an invisible force pushes it away. Now, Yak is wearing a Wirunchambang amulet to defeat the ghoul. The ghoul gets hold of Yad and holds her out the window. If Yad has to be saved, Yak must eliminate the Wirunchambang amulet. To save Yad, Yak does as he is told.
As Yak pulls Yad up the window, the ghoul starts to whisper, making Sarge pull the gun towards himself. After pulling Yad up, Yak asks Yad to take the amulet and attacks the ghoul. Unfortunately, the ghoul is powerful and threatens to feed her tongue to Yak so she can control him and feed on humans. When the ghoul puts her tongue out, an invisible Yad elongates it, helping Yak cut the tongue. For the next step, Yak gives the knife to Sarge, who pierces the fallen tongue, weakening the ghoul. Yak performs the final step as he pounds the amulet on the ghoul’s forehead, killing her forever. The family hugs each other in tears and with relief. A little further away, Yak sees Yam smiling at him.
Has Yak Truly Ended the Nightmare, or Is There More to Uncover?
