“Ponies” (2026) is a Cold War espionage thriller centered on two women pushed into the shadows of global politics. Bea and Twila are married to CIA operatives Chris and Tom, whose covert mission in Russia ends in their deaths. Bea refuses to accept the official version of events. Twila, suddenly unmoored, has nothing left to return to. Bound by loss rather than temperament, the two form an uneasy friendship and make a reckless decision: they go back to Russia, not as widows, but as spies, determined to uncover the truth.
Russia offers no clean answers, only danger. Bea begins feeding information through their asset, Sasha, while simultaneously entangling herself with Andrei, a volatile KGB officer whose access makes him as useful as he is lethal. Every interaction with the KGB carries the threat of exposure; every lead tightens the net around them. As Bea and Twila dig deeper, survival becomes as urgent as discovery, and the line between agency and entrapment grows increasingly thin.

Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 1, “Second Hand News” Recap:
The episode opens with an explanation of what POIs (Points of Interest) are in intelligence. It means individuals who are under surveillance by foreign governments. PONIs are people who are not of interest, that is, basically everyone else. It’s the Cold War; the Americans are in Moscow, USSR. On the street, officers Chris and Tom meet their POC Snowshoe.
In the market, Bea (Chris’s wife) is trying to buy eggs. The seller cons Bea. So, Twila (Toms’ wife) explains how to deal with the sellers in Russia. Elsewhere, a car chase ensues as the KGB follows Tom, Chris, and Snowshoe. In that chase, Snowshoe is killed. At home, Chris promises Bea that they will have to stay in Russia for a few years, and Bea can pursue her dreams later. After that, they make love.
Sadly, Tom and Twila fight as Tom insists Twila attend the embassy Christmas party while he deals with some work situation. At the party, the other wives ask Bea how she met and fell in love with Chris. A while later, Officer Dane talks to Bea and Twila alone. The sad news is that Chris and Tom were flying a plane, and it crashed.
They both died on the spot. Unfortunately, Dane does not reveal the actual truth of what happened to Chris and Tom. After that, Bea heads back to Rhode Island and stays with her grandma, Manya. Now, Twila visits her mother in Indiana only to realise her mother had left her boyfriend’s trailer months ago. The next day, Bea chats with Manya about wanting to find out about what really happened to Chris. What motivates Bea is also a card she finds in Chris’s coat pocket.
Who does Bea meet in the bar?
Unfortunately, Bea can’t understand what is written, nor can her grandmother. It seems neither Dane nor Director Bush knows what exactly happened to Chris and Tom. Later, Dane and other officers meet Bea and Twila to pay final respects. This makes Bea mad, as no one tells them what happened in Moscow. Currently, Bea and Twila hang out and decide to head back to Russia to find out the truth. They visit Dane with a proposal to act as spies.
Somehow, Dane convinces Bush that the Russians wouldn’t suspect women to be spies. This way, the Americans can get their intelligence. In Russia, Dane takes the women to the bubble where the KGB can’t hear. They will act as secretaries to American officers while spying on Russians. One night, Dane shows the girls how to spot a Russian vehicle. Their first assignment is to meet an agent in a bar and give him a book.
Now, Dane and Twila get out of the car and go to dinner. On their walk, they run into a KGB member, Andrei Vasiliev, who tries to ask Dane about his two dead officers. However, Dane feigns ignorance. The next day, Twila sells Tom’s things in the market. Inside the speaker, the seller, Ivanna, finds a tape that appears to play Morse code. When Twila visits Bea, she finds a lipstick mark on the door (code to do the mission). That night, they head to a bar.
Outside, Twila keeps a lookout. Inside the bar, Bea says the code line to the wrong person. However, the right person comes along, so Bea gives the book and tells him how to read the instructions. Elsewhere, Andrei talks to Phil, who reveals that Dane is using a different approach to get intelligence. Sadly, Phil does not know the details. Soon, Andrei visits the bar and chats with Bea. When asked who Bea is, Bea says she is a school teacher and gives a fake name, Nadiya. Outside, Twila looks worried watching this meeting.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 2, “Hanging On The Telephone” Recap:
The episode opens in a flashback. The agent Sasha was Snowshoes’ recruit, and he met Tom and Chris in a bar after Snowshoes’ death. The words on the card in Chris’s pocket read “horse over the world.” The same image is on the pub’s glass. When Twila realises the danger, she burns the pub down.
However, Andrei asks Bea to follow him, but she rushes out the door with Twila. Outside, Andrei questions Sasha, asking for his identification and his reasons for chatting with Bea. At the embassy, Dane is mad at Bea for using her cover as Nadiya to see Andrei. So they bring in a man called Emile (fake name) to train Bea. Meanwhile, the agent reads the instructions in the book, retrieves a camera, and then destroys the instructions. At the office, Twila’s boss, Shep, asks Twila to show his old friend George Tallman a good time by taking him to dinner.

Elsewhere, the agent works in a repair company. So, the agent takes pictures of some manuals there. Later, Twila begs Dane not to send her home. Now, Dane says the only good thing about Twila is that she is fearless, but no one likes her. On the other hand, Bea is emotional, so the training is to help her get her hands dirty while shutting off her emotions.
The task for Twila is to show her soft side and win over George Tallman. This way, Twila knows how to use emotions to get the job done. That night, Emile gives Bea a gun and asks her to sneak into a house. When inside, Bea needs to observe the surroundings and report back. When Bea breaks into the apartment, she realizes it’s Sasha’s house. Soon, Sasha comes home. So, Bea gets to the balcony and jumps into the dumpster below to escape. At home, Bea discovers another phone hidden in her closet, which starts ringing.
Why does Bea decide to continue being a spy?
The person on the other line is Andrei. Meanwhile, Twila uses Bea’s love story to win over George, which seems to be working. In the middle of the night, Bea wakes Dane to ask about the phone. It seems Andrei has asked Bea out on a date, and she refused. So, Dane reprimands her, saying she needs to shut off her emotions and do the needful, as a date with Andrei could be of help to American intelligence. The next day, Bea tells Twila she wants to leave because she thinks everything asked of her is unsafe.
However, Twila convinces Bea to do the dead drop the next day and then leave. The next day, Twila gets information from Ivanna about a disco where the locals hang out, as Shep wants Twila to take George there. Meanwhile, the agent drops off a camera in a men’s changing room bin. While Twila hangs out with George, Bea arrives to take her to do the dead drop. However, from George, they learn that if someone is using a plane, there is always a paper trail.
The women enter the men’s changing room and take the camera. Sadly, the camera is damaged, and nothing could be retrieved. So, Twila and Bea need to ensure that another camera with instructions is delivered to Sasha. In a cemetery, Bea gives the camera to Sasha and learns that Andrei was with another woman in the bar the other day.
In the hotel room, a woman named Sveta asks to eat dinner with George. Inside the room, George and Sveta have sex, which some men can see because of spy cameras. Later, Sveta meets Andrei, who brutally murders her. At home, Twila tells Bea about the Morse code speaker, which may have clues to what happened to Chris and Tom. Because of this, Bea decides to stay in Russia. Suddenly, Andrei calls Bea, and she agrees to meet him the following day.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 3, “Backstreets” Recap:
The episode opens in an airport as George waits for his flight. While waiting, George strikes up a conversation with a Russian man. In the newspaper, George sees that Sveta was murdered. Now, George calls Shep, saying he forgot his passport. Shep asks George to talk to Twila so she can retrieve it. However, George asks Twila to meet him at the airport.
There, George explains what had happened and asks Twila to find out the truth. Later, Emile trains Bea as she needs to go on a date with Andrei. The cover is that Bea is from Belarus. The lies Bea says should be close to the truth. After the briefing, Twila asks Ray to find out about Sveta’s murder. At home, Twila teaches Bea how to seduce men without having to sleep with them — an important thing is to wear nice lingerie.
What happens when Andrei and Bea go on a date?
Later, Andrei calls Bea and asks her to meet him the following day at the movie theatre. Meanwhile, Ray finds out that over the last two years, many sex workers have been murdered. The next day, Twila and Ray visit Ivanna, asking for contacts in a brothel. The girl gives Maria’s contact information and gets a drink date with Twila.
The duo visits Maria, who says she does not know Sveta, as she is for people who have a lot of money. However, some other girls Maria recognises as her friends. Elsewhere, Dane asks Bea to bug Andrei’s apartment. The problem is that Andrei is married with a child, and this apartment is listed. However, the CIA suspects that there is another apartment where Andrei takes women. When Bea hesitates, Dane tells her she needs to recognise her reasons for doing this job.
As Twila leaves to meet with Ivanna, Ray tells Twila about Bea’s date, as he is concerned for Bea’s safety. While watching the film, one of Andrei’s men interrupts with important business. So, Bea decides to kiss Andrei to make sure he takes Bea home. In the car, Bea asks Andrei to take her to his house, but Andrei reveals he is married.
However, Bea asks if he has another apartment, which makes Andrei suspect Bea. So, Andrei asks Bea to show him her house. Now, Bea directs him to Sasha’s house. Making an excuse of cleaning up, Bea enters first. Briefly explaining the situation to Sasha, Bea asks him to jump off the balcony. Now Andrei arrives, and they start to kiss, but Andrei says he really must leave and promises to meet the following week.
Outside, Twila and Sasha get together to bug Andrei’s car. At home, Twila finds the picture Bea took from Sasha’s house. It is a picture of Sasha and his sister. Seeing Sasha’s sister, Twila pulls up the murdered girls’ file. Elsewhere, Andrei picks up Maria, saying he has a job for her. In a flashback, Emile puts a bloodied knife away, and Tom sees Sasha’s dead sister on the street.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 4, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” Recap:
The episode opens with Twila and Bea running through the park, where an old lady, Vera, follows them. When they take a break, Vera tells Twila and Bea to tell Dane that the facility has moved. Although Vera does not work for the KGB, she has contacts on both sides. There are things Americans can’t do in Russia, like forge documents or get poison; that’s where Vera comes in. Since Vera knew both Tom and Chris, the women could know what happened to them.
To get information from Vera, they need to do everything she asks. This time, Twila will be leading the mission. Elsewhere, Andrei visits Bea (Sasha’s house), drunk, looking for her. However, Andrei finds Sasha there. So, Sasha says he is Bea’s boyfriend. The only reason Bea denied knowing Sasha was that they had fought over Bea’s infidelity. The next day, Eevi, a nanny, arrives from Helsinki to babysit Ray and Cheryl’s son, Trent. However, Cheryl says Eevi is not the one she had hired.

In the office, Bea’s boss admires an expensive painting he bought. That night, Sasha gives Bea an update about the situation, and they come up with a good cover story. The next day, Twila meets Vera, and the negotiations begin. Finally, it is agreed that the butcher will need thousands of dollars in cash, and Vera will get an American passport in exchange for a meeting with a man called Caterpillar, who is with the KGB. After work, as Sasha is leaving, a man hits Sasha and steals his wallet.
Later, Sasha meets Bea and says he won’t be able to do this anymore because if he is caught, then the KGB will torture him. So, Bea reminds Sasha that whatever he is doing is for his sister. To continue to help the Americans, Sasha wants a cyanide pill, just in case he is caught, he can bite it and kill himself. Since the CIA can’t afford to pay the butcher, Twila and Bea steal Bea’s boss’s (Alan’s) expensive painting. Before giving it to the butcher, Bea paints an almost exact replica of the original artwork and hangs it in the office.
What happened to Vera?
Elsewhere, Emile and Dane meet Andrei and his right-hand man, who brings a newspaper clipping. Until now, Andrei was blackmailing Dane, saying he had videos of Dane sleeping with other men. However, Dane says even if Andrei does, Dane has nothing to lose. The meeting with the butcher goes well. Twila asks for the cyanide pill, and Vera promises to give it to her once she has the passport. Later, Vera and Twila meet. The passport and cyanide pill are exchanged.
Now, Vera also reveals that Tom and Chris did fly a plane, intending to reach the hidden KGB facility. However, they had to stop further away. When they got out, soldiers shot Chris and Tom. Turns out Tom was the one who snitched. When Twila asks for more details, Vera says it comes at a cost. As Twila gets close to Vera, Vera leans on a loose bridge railing, and she falls into the water, dying instantly. Later, Twila tells Bea about their husbands’ deaths without revealing that Tom was the snitch.
After that, they inform Ray about the situation who asks for the passport as they need to destroy it. The women then retrieve the passport, a gun, and a knife from Vera’s body. They now give it to Ray, who takes it home. Ray puts the gun and knife in the safe and burns the passport. This, Eevi watches secretly.
At home, Trent finds a microphone in the chimney and puts it into a pair of gloves. Meanwhile, Dane is angry as no one told him about Vera’s death. According to Dane, the mission is a failure, but Twila thinks they can still meet Caterpillar. Unfortunately, they need a Russian woman around Vera’s age to convince the caterpillar that Vera is still alive. Now, Bea says she knows someone, and that is none other than Manya.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 5, “Turn The Beat Around” Recap:
The episode opens with Manya preparing to become Vera. Even though Bea wants to go on the assignment, she can’t as she has a date with Andrei. Now, Dane gives Bea a cigarette box with a camera to take pictures during the poker night. At home, Manya asks Bea to find a guy for herself. Later, Bea visits Sasha to give him a book as a gift.
Now, Bea learns it is Sasha’s birthday the following day. After that, Bea meets Andrei, who gets touchy. Since Bea knows the car is bugged, she feels uncomfortable. Sensing discomfort, Andrei plays music to help Bea. Elsewhere, Manya tells Twila about her childhood best friend, Sofia. Now, Twila tells Manya about Tom being a double agent.
How was Manya rescued from the KGB?
At the park, the butcher meets Manya (Vera). This turns out to be a setup as KGB agents arrest Manya. Immediately, Twila informs Dane about the situation. At the poker table, Bea chats with the other women. Among them, a woman warns Bea about Andrei’s rage. The woman also gives Bea a contact in case she needs a friend.
Still, Bea completes her task of getting pictures of all the men in the room. Meanwhile, Manya is in prison, where she meets a man named Mikhail. At the poker game, Bea hears the name Vera and convinces Andrei to take her to the place he is going. Soon, Dane brings Ray to find Manya. In the building, Manya is being interrogated by two KGB officers. When Andrei sees Manya, he knows it’s not Vera. During this time, Bea reaches the top floor to listen in. Now, Andrei starts questioning Manya about why she is pretending to be Vera. So, Manya cooks up a story and acts like she doesn’t understand English.

Andrei, in English, says Manya will be sent to another prison where she will be tortured. Now, Bea relays the message using the bug in Andrei’s car. Elsewhere, Emile gives the others directions. They pick up Bea and chase down the van they take Manya in. Inside the truck is Mikhail, who reveals he is the Caterpillar. Furthermore, Mikhail gives Manya a tape, saying he wants it to reach the American government. By then, Dane and others rescue Manya.
However, they fail to save Mikhail. After the mission, Manya insists she wants to visit her hometown, Belarus, despite the dangers. After dropping Manya off at the train station, Bea meets Sasha. There, they see a man staring at them, but he soon leaves. At home, Bea finds a tape that Manya has left. Elsewhere, Ray sees a microphone in Trent’s toys. Immediately, he tells Dane that there is a mole among them. At the same time, Bea uses the tape to see Chris cheating on Bea with Sasha’s sister, Galyna.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 6, “Night Moves” Recap:
The episode opens with a flashback in which Bea and Chris discuss their honeymoon plans. At present, Bea is devastated by the tape. At that time, Andrei called Bea angrily, asking why she had fled the building. So, Bea tries to lie, saying she was tired, but Andrei doesn’t believe her. In a rage, Bea tells Andrei she heard him speak to the older woman, which leads them to fight. Elsewhere, some men take Sasha to meet someone. Thankfully, it is someone Sasha has worked with. In the hotel lobby, Sasha recalls arguing with Galyna.
After the argument, Galyna joins Chris at a table. Meanwhile, Dane investigates Ray’s apartment and discovers a hidden tunnel system. However, Dane realises that it’s someone higher up in the ranks who has bugged Ray’s apartment. The next day, Twila bumps into Maria, who is hiding from Andrei and his men. An angry Bea demands answers from Dane regarding Chris’s sex tape. Now, Dane reveals, Chris pretended to work for the Soviets on Dane’s order.
What happens between Twila and Ivanna?
In the office, Twila notices Bea is upset, so she tries to talk to her. Bea reveals the tape’s contents, but it’s no big deal to Twila. Since Bea blames Chris, Twila tells Bea about Tom’s betrayal. Because of this, they get into an argument. Later, Sasha tells Bea about his suspicion that the Soviets are planning an operation at a hotel.
In the cafeteria, Cheryl tells Dane she suspects Shep is the mole. Now, Ray briefs Twila about the operation in the hotel and asks her to pose as a sex worker so they can replace the Soviet tapes with the American ones in the hotel. However, Twila has a better idea of using Maria for the job. Meanwhile, Bea visits Andrei and apologises, then invites him over that night to her house.
During the meeting with Maria, Ivanna also shows up. Now, Twila tells them the plan. On the streets, Dane confronts Shep only to realise he is just buying hash. When Bea gets home, the hash hangs on her fridge with a note asking Bea to take it easy. At the hotel, Ivanna shows up instead of Maria. As Ray urges Ivanna to come to his room, another man, Pierre, takes Ivanna along.
Twila insists she joins them. In the room, Ivanna pours enough Russian vodka, which makes Pierre high and sleepy. Another girl goes to Ray’s room, asking to be let in, even though they don’t have to do anything with each other. Turns out that girl was having issues with a boy. Thankfully, Ray notices a hidden tape and replaces it with the American one.
Meanwhile, Twila and Ivanna sleep together. Elsewhere, Sasha and Bea smoke up while waiting for Andrei. Someplace else, Andrei gets hit by his boss, Yuri. In that state, Andrei visits Bea, who is also terribly high. When Andrei decides to leave, Bea draws him a bath, and they talk. Andrei reveals he has secrets about everyone, and that’s how he climbs up the ladder.
Now, they kiss and have sex. Meanwhile, Dane deals with the new director, Stanley, who does not understand how difficult it is to even have a conversation in Russia without being spied on. Before leaving, Stanley warns Dane not to mess up anymore. Later, Ivanna tells Twila that Andrei hired Maria. In the office, Dane is angry and crying, calling Chris names. Dane makes a call to someone asking to meet. At last, Bea visits Twila, wanting to give updates.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 7, “Livin’ Thing” Recap:
The episode opens with the tracking devices getting sorted in the hotel. Later, Dane asks the women to follow the tracker to reach the facility. They are given a device that lights up when the tracking device is close by. As they wait, they update each other on the previous day’s events. The device is in an ambulance, and the women follow it.
Elsewhere, Andrei blackmails a senior KGB member to secure his promotion. Meanwhile, Sasha shares a meal with his mom, who says she found Sasha’s sweater among Gaylna’s belongings. At home, Cheryl realises Ray has given Eevi an Elton John concert ticket. Amid the chaos, Dane travels to Germany to visit his therapist. The ambulance is parked somewhere. A minute later, Andrei arrives, meets his wife, gives her something, gets into the ambulance, and leaves. The women split up: Twila follows Andrei’s wife, and Bea chases Andrei.
Does Bea find the facility?
The ambulance reaches Sasha’s house. Immediately, Bea runs to the apartment and hides. Now, Andrei enters and places a microphone inside a lamp. Meanwhile, Sasha meets his friends in a park where he meets another woman, Katya. In a café, Cheryl reprimands Ray for giving away her concert tickets. Now, Ray needs to get the ticket back from Eevi.
In the therapist’s office, Dane agrees he is homosexual. It turns out Chris was the one who recommended the doctor to Dane. While Bea follows the ambulance, she is stopped by some officers. So, Bea takes a chance and says she is Andrei’s girlfriend. The officers let Bea go. Meanwhile, Twila sees Andrei’s wife drop her daughter off with a caretaker.
When the caretaker is sleeping, Twila kidnaps the baby and rushes to give the child to Andrei’s wife. Pretending to be a mom herself, Twila tries to win over Andrei’s wife. While having tea, Andrei’s wife suspects something is off with Twila. Accidentally, Twila cuts her hand, and as Andrei’s wife leaves to get a cloth, Twila takes the bag with the evidence and runs away.
In the facility, Bea discovers an underground place where all the business is conducted. Bea also overhears Andrei talking to another man who warns Andrei not to do anything foolish, as he has tapes of Andrei. The man plays the recordings, and it is Andrei killing a woman. After that, Bea leaves and rushes to meet Sasha.
At this time, Twila invites Ivanna to the concert. In Sasha’s apartment, Bea writes and says how the KGB is listening to them. So they pretend to break up. On the balcony as they talk, Sasha and Bea kiss each other. Meanwhile, Emile meets the therapist to collect the tape recording and kills him. Outside the concert venue, Ray and Cheryl fight. Soon, Bea and Twila update each other on everything.
At home, Cheryl finds Eevi snooping around, so she picks up Vera’s gun and shoots. Amidst that, Alan pulls the girls aside and asks them to meet important people. They don’t realise these are Russians. As they talk, they greet these men. Suddenly, Bea is shocked when she greets Andrei, who says, “Hello, American.”
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Episode 8, “The Stranger” Recap:
The episode continues as Bea and Andrei come face to face at Elton John’s concert. Sensing the danger, Twila and Bea make a run as Andrei chases them. They accidentally enter Elton John’s room. So they try to camouflage with Elton’s crew. Still, Andrei spots them, and the chase continues until the women hit a dead end.
As Andrei chokes Bea, Ivanna comes to rescue as she hits Andrei with a metal stick. We see a flashback to Manya and Sophia’s youth. This is the time, Manya promises to come back to Belarus. Currently, 55 years later, Manya finds Sophia, and the two women catch up with each other’s lives. As they talk, Manya notices a man following her. Meanwhile, the cops investigate Eevi’s case. Thankfully, Eevi is alive. Cheryl gives a tracking device to CIA men, asking an officer to place it in a secure spot in the CIA office. Elsewhere, Bea drags Sasha from his house and explains the situation.
Immediately, Bea reaches a salon looking for Aksana (Andrei’s ex-girlfriend). Now, Aksana gives Bea a location, saying it is safe. However, Aksana bids farewell in English, which makes Bea suspicious, but she does not think much about it. In the car, Bea notices the Pegasus symbol on Sasha’s sweater and realises everything is connected. They also realise Sasha had met Chris. Meanwhile, Andrei makes a mess out of Sasha’s house. In the outskirts, they reach a house.
There is a telephone, so the woman calls for extraction. In the CIA office, Cheryl blames Ray for everything that happened. In the remote house, Twila finds boxes of shampoo hidden. The tapes are hidden in the shampoo bottles. Now the trio realise this is Andrei’s house. Turns out the man following Manya was sent by Dane and Emile. As the trio stores the shampoo bottles and is about to leave, Andrei’s men arrive. So, Sasha makes the man swallow the cyanide pill, and he dies immediately.
Ponies (TV Series 2026) Ending Explained:
How is Andrei captured?
Soon, Aksana arrives and stabs Sasha. The women then hit Aksana with something heavy and escaped. On the way, they drive past Andrei, who chases after them. In Belarus, Dane and Emile meet Manya and take her somewhere. A hurting Sasha finally learns Bea’s real name. Knowing the Russian cars can’t make sharp turns, Twila takes a sharp turn, toppling Andrei’s car. Just then, the Americans arrive for extraction. So they leave Sasha with these men and watch Andrei’s car catch fire.
On the way, Twila opens up about how she could not save her father after they were in an accident. The miscarriage was also a lie because Twila couldn’t have children, and if Tom knew, he wouldn’t marry her. They reach the embassy, and in the trunk is a tied-up Andrei. Now, Twila says they have Andrei’s tapes and are blackmailing him into revealing information. The secrets start to spill, as Andrei says the Americans killed Galyna to ensure Sasha can work for the CIA. Turns out Galyna was KGB. Furthermore, it wasn’t Tom who was the mole, but it was Chris.
Meanwhile, Cheryl enters Eevi’s room and injects her with something that kills her instantly. In a flashback, we see Cheryl taking the tracking device, which is now placed in the CIA office, from the underground tunnels. It wasn’t just Chris who was a spy. Cheryl was, too. This tracking device is used to start a fire in the CIA office, destroying evidence.
The women realize there is a fire and see firefighters enter as Andrei smirks at them. Upon hearing the men, Bea tells Twila they are KGB. Just then, Andrei is free, and two guns point at Bea and Twila as they hold hands, waiting for their fate to be sealed. In the last scene, we see Manya enter a room where Chris is on a video call. A cat also enters Twila’s room as everyone from the embassy waits on the street. In the washroom is a shampoo bottle.
The show ends on a cliff-hanger with a lot to uncover in the second season. There are two spies on the CIA side: Cheryl, an obvious one, and Chris, a surprising one. Interestingly, Chris is still alive, which could be dangerous for the Americans. However, Dane and Emile don’t seem too surprised to see Chris alive. Early on, we knew Dane ordered Chris to act like a CIA spy. Now, we don’t know if the Americans are hiding Chris for his safety or if the Russians are unaware that Chris is a double agent of sorts. It is still unclear if Chris really became a spy for the Russians.
Meanwhile, Cheryl does seem to be on the Russian side. As per Andrei, Sasha is dead, but we don’t know for sure. We also don’t understand why Chris wants to talk to Manya. It is unlikely Andrei will just shoot Bea and Twila, but he will use them to further his cause, whatever that may be. Unfortunately for the CIA, all the evidence against the KGB is either burned or captured by Andrei. This makes things difficult. There is one piece of secure evidence, and that is in Twila’s room. There is so much more to uncover in the next season/s.
