Miranda Priestly is back, and she has brought some of the biggest names in pop music with her. Twenty years after the original film became a cultural phenomenon, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has finally hit theaters. The sequel opened on May 1, 2026, with a star-studded cast that includes returning legends Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. But the film is not just a reunion for the actors. It is also a major showcase for some of the biggest names in pop music.
The soundtrack features everything from three brand new songs by Lady Gaga to a vintage Madonna hit that defined the first movie. This guide covers every song you will hear in the film and on the official soundtrack album.
Lady Gaga Leads the Pack With Three New Tracks
It is not a proper comeback without a superstar anthem. Lady Gaga leads the charge, contributing three original songs to the sequel. This is a major moment for the pop star, who also makes a cameo appearance in the film.
Gaga first previewed the soundtrack on April 9 when she dropped Runway, a house-pop banger made in collaboration with the Grammy-nominated rapper Doechii. The duo turned the dance floor into a literal runway in a fashion-forward music video released on April 27. In the video, both artists wear custom Gaurav Gupta couture as they strut through a futuristic hotel.
Alongside Runway, Gaga dropped two solo tracks exclusively for the film entitled Shape of a Woman and Glamorous Life. She now holds the distinction of having three songs on the soundtrack, more than any other artist. Meryl Streep personally called Lady Gaga to ask for her involvement in the film.
The Full Soundtrack Features an All-Female Powerhouse Lineup
The rest of the Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack is an all-women affair, blending slick contemporary pop with R&B bangers. The 13-track album, released on May 1 via Interscope Records, is available on major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

The Music Heard in the Trailers
If you have seen the trailers for the sequel, you have already heard the perfect song choice. The promotional clips are set to Madonna’s iconic 1990 hit Vogue. The song has become inseparable from the franchise since it famously played during the first film’s fashion montage. The track’s presence in the marketing helps connect the new film to the legacy of the original.
Later trailers also featured snippets of Lady Gaga and Doechii’s new anthem, Runway.
Who Is the Composer?
Beyond the pop songs, the film’s original score is handled by Theodore Shapiro. Shapiro is the same composer who scored the 2006 original film. He returns to reprise his role for the sequel. His recent credits include the critically acclaimed score for the Apple TV series Severance and the film The Housemaid.
The Devil Wears Prada 2Â is currently playing in cinemas worldwide. The official soundtrack is available to stream now on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.
