The internet was left stunned after reports surfaced that TikTok influencer Gabbie Gonzalez and her father, Francisco Gonzalez, were arrested over an alleged murder-for-hire plot involving singer Jack Avery. What began as a tense custody battle has now turned into one of the most shocking influencer-related criminal cases of the year.

According to multiple reports, authorities allege that the plot targeted Avery, who is best known as a former member of the boy band Why Don’t We and the father of Gonzalez’s child. Prosecutors claim the alleged conspiracy dates back several years and involved discussions about staging Avery’s death to look like an accident.

Who Is Gabbie Gonzalez?

Gabbie Gonzalez built a sizable online following through TikTok and Instagram content focused on lifestyle and family updates. Over the years, her relationship with singer Jack Avery frequently drew public attention, especially after the two welcomed their daughter, Lavender.

But behind the scenes, reports suggest the former couple had been involved in a long-running custody dispute. Investigators now believe that conflict allegedly escalated into something far more serious.

Authorities arrested Gonzalez in Northern California while her father, Francisco Gonzalez, was reportedly taken into custody in Florida on related charges.

What Are the Allegations Against Gabbie Gonzalez and Her Father?

Court documents cited by several outlets allege that Gabbie Gonzalez, her father Francisco, and another man named Kai Cordrey were involved in an alleged plan to kill Avery. Prosecutors reportedly charged the trio with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and solicitation of murder. If convicted, they could face lengthy prison sentences.

Investigators claim the FBI initially began looking into the case before it was later handed over to Los Angeles prosecutors. Authorities also allege that Francisco Gonzalez transferred around $10,000 disguised as “web development” payments connected to the alleged scheme.

One of the more disturbing allegations involves claims that the conspirators allegedly wanted Avery’s death to appear like a car accident rather than a direct attack.

Reports from court filings also mention that former MMA fighter Dustin Barca was allegedly approached years earlier to intimidate Avery into leaving Kauai, though Barca reportedly refused involvement and has not been charged with any crime.

What Has Jack Avery Said?

Following the arrests, Avery reportedly filed for a restraining order against Gonzalez and requested sole custody of their daughter. Court documents referenced by media outlets state that Avery said he was informed by the FBI about the alleged threats against him.

The singer has previously spoken publicly about experiencing anxiety and trauma connected to the investigation. Several reports also state that he is seeking therapy support for their daughter amid the ongoing legal situation.

As of now, neither Gabbie Gonzalez nor Francisco Gonzalez has publicly entered a plea, and the legal proceedings are still ongoing. Authorities have not announced any convictions, and all allegations remain accusations until proven in court.
