‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ – Release Date, Trailer, Plot, Cast: Fans have been waiting for another foray into the Afro-futuristic land of Wakanda ever since the release of the Academy Award-nominated film Black Panther (2018). The wait has been especially grueling and painful due to the untimely death of Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020 due to colon cancer. Boseman played the lead role of T’Challa, the king of Wakanda, and the superhero Black Panther.
There has been a natural buzz and anticipation for the sequel directed by Ryan Coogler, as fans want to see what route the story takes after Bosemanโs demise; fans are excitedly speculating about who is going to pick up the mantle of the Black Panther. How Marvel is going to pay homage to Boseman is also a point of interest among emotional fans. โBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverโ is the seventh film in the Phase Four expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

โBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverโ follows the events after Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). The film will deal with the grief of the Wakandan kingdom as it mourns the passing away of its king TโChalla while this kingdom faces new threats in the form of Namor.
Namorโs Talocan empire is facing challenges of discovery after TโChalla opened Wakanda to the world and that has led to a conflict between the kingdoms. The film will probably focus more on the different characters of Wakanda as they come into their own trying to protect their kingdom after the demise of their King.
The film will introduce the character of Ironheart to the audiences ahead of the 2023 release of the television series. This film will also give Marvel Cinematic Universe and its fans a new Black Panther.
Who is in the โBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverโ Cast and Crew?ย
Many of the Marvel Cinematic Universeโs regulars are returning for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and a few new cast members join the team for this film. Letitia Wright reprises her role as Shuri, the Princess of Wakanda, TโChallaโs sister and tech genius. Lupita Nyong’o returns as Nakia, a warrior and an undercover spy for Wakanda.
Danai Gurira is back as Okoye, a warrior and the head of Wakandaโs elite all-female special force, Dora Milaje. Angela Bassettย returns to her role as the Queen mother, Ramonda. Winston Duke reprises his role ofย M’Baku, the leader of the Wakandan mountain tribe, the Jabari.
The film also introduces the character of superhero Ironheart, Riri Williams, an MIT graduate that builds a suit or armor much like that of Iron man, the character will be played by Dominique Thorne.
Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta is cast as Namor, the king of Talokan, an ancient civilization of people living underwater. He plays the main antagonist in the film and is the first mutant in the publication history of Marvel Comics.
Ryan Coogler returns to direct the film; he also co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole who is returning as a writer for the film as well. Swedish composer Ludwig Gรถranssonย returns to do the music for the film, he won an Academy Award for the Best Original Score for his work in โBlack Pantherโ.
When is โBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverโ Releasing?
Eagerly anticipated by Marvel Cinematic Universeโs fans the sequel to the Academy Award-nominated film โBlack Pantherโ, โBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverโ is scheduled for an international release on the cinema screens in early November.ย Rescheduled for release multiple times from May 2022 to July 2022, the film is finally set to hit the screens on11th November 2022. The film premiered at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on 26th October 2022.

โBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverโ teaser trailerย premiered at San Diego Comic-Con before being released online on 23rd July 2022. The trailer is set to the music of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ “No Woman No Cry” remixed withย Kendrick Lamar‘s “Alright”.
The trailer shows various characters and Wakanda as a whole mourning the death of King TโChalla, the trailer is especially poignant for being a homage to the sad demise of Chadwick Boseman. The scenes of mourning and grief are juxtaposed with the new threat of Namor planning a war against the grieving Wakanda.
The trailer ends with teasing that there will be a new Black Panther, possibly a woman, leaving the fans excited and guessing. Watch the trailer for yourself here:ย
The official trailer was released on 3rd October 2022. After a somber introduction, the trailer gives a glimpse into the underwater kingdom of Talokan and introduces the main antagonist for the film, the feathered serpent, God K’uk’ulkan, while he comes for the surface world.
