However, after they are taken for a ride by US Robotics, they seek Jim’s help and finally join forces.

Mike’s keen intellect and Jim’s resolute business deals germinate the seeds of the one-of-a-kind ‘Blackberry.’ Thus begins the journey of Blackberry, in which highs are astronomically high and lows are dangerously low.

Predominantly shot in Ontario, the film makes use of such city locales as Hamilton, Waterloo, Oakville, London, and Burlington. In Hamilton, the First Ontario Centre served as the primary location, as did the Empire Steel headquarters and an elementary school. Then, the 5-Drive-In Movie Theatre of Oakville hosted the film crew to shoot important sequences. was used as a location.

Back in the time, a Waterloo diner was one of the most frequented sites of Balsille and Lazardis. However, due to the diner closing its shop, a certain Russell Williams Family Restaurant came to the rescue and was tailor-made to stand in the place of the former diner. Silicon Valley, too, is abundantly shown in the film, given its association with the tech world. Therefore, it is only natural that it would find a place in the film too.
