“A Bloody Lucky Day” is a story about a serial killer who kills people for the thrills. A taxi driver named Oh Taek gets entangled with him only because he needs extra money to reunite with his family. This one decision to let a serial killer inside his taxi leads to an adventurous, action-filled ride. The plot is quite interesting. It offers a perfect balance between story-telling, action and gore. The show also constantly creates situations that make you and the character question good and evil and right and wrong. Episode 1: Taxi Driver
The episode begins with Oh Taek enjoying a beach day with his family. They take pictures, but his daughter suddenly notices something weird in the picture. He is now standing alone on a dirty patch of land. The next moment, he is arrested, and pigs enter his cell. His alarm rings, and he wakes up startled. Oh Taek is a naive taxi driver. He is excited as he sees pigs in his dream, which is considered a good omen. He is having a good day, and he has found many customers. One of his daughter’s favorite influencers also boards his taxi, and he tries to call his daughter, but she hangs up. The influencer handles the situation and sends a message to her through his show.
His son Seung-hyun calls and tells him he is in debt and needs 4 million won. The mother had saved that money for his sister’s tuition, and he used it for online gaming and now is in debt. Oh Taek promises to take care of the situation. Mi-rim (his wife) is about to enter the subway, and Oh Taek stops her. He convinces her to drive in his taxi. He wants to patch up things with her, but she ignores him. Oh Taek tells her he will wire 4 million won to her the next day, and she promises to ask their daughter Seung-mi if she will move in with him the following year once he clears all his debt. Oh Taek asks everyone for money so he can patch things up with his wife. He realizes he needs more than one million won.
Hwang Soon-kyu gets a call from someone who tells her they have information about her son and asks to meet in Seoul. She sees a video on her phone as it has captured someone who seems to have killed her son. Subsequently, she calls someone and asks for Yi-deun’s whereabouts. She gets to know that he is hospitalized because of a fire accident. Hwang Soon-kyu reaches the hospital, and the nurses rush to Yi-duen as his condition is code blue. Yi-deun dies, and Soon-kyu sees a man in a mask with the same mannerisms and follows him. She misses him and asks the hospital staff to find out if he is a doctor named Doctor Geum Hyuk-soo. Meanwhile, a man gets into Oh Taek’s cab, but Oh Taek’s hands are tied because his shift is over.
Seeing the man upset, he agrees to drop him off. After the man reaches the destination, he asks Oh Taek to take him to Mukpo and offers to pay extra. He also tells Oh Taek that he had met with a bus accident and didn’t want to take it. Oh Taek asks if he will pay him one million won extra, and he agrees. Oh Taek blackmails his colleague, offers to cover his daily earnings, and reaches the destination to pick up the man.
Soon-kyu visits the police station and asks for help. The officers insist her son had died because of suicide, but Soon-kyu begs to differ. She takes matters into her own hands and asks someone she knows to get details on Geum Hyuk-soo. Oh Taek and the man start the journey. They have interesting conversations. The man reveals about his bus accident. The driver fell asleep, and that led to the accident.
He tells Oh Taek that the doctors had said his amygdala can’t feel or fear anything. Oh Taek gets carried away and calls him cold-blooded. The man tells a dialogue from “Taxi Driver,” and Oh Taek gets nervous. The man says he is just joking and asks him to practice it to toughen up. He also cuts himself to show he can’t feel anything, and Oh Taek is nervous again. Because he is distracted, a truck driver cusses at him. Soon-kyu gets to know Hyuk-soo’s address, reaches his house, and sees that nobody is home. She speaks to his neighbor and informs Soon-kyu that he had left an hour ago and seemed to be going far. The man in the taxi continues to freak out Oh taek by saying he has killed people. But he says he is joking seeing Oh Taek’s face. They take a washroom break.
Soon-kyu breaks into Hyuk-soo’s house and finds a book with the anatomy of the human body, and each page has different pictures of people. She comes to a page with a photo of her son Yoon-ho and starts crying. Oh Taek goes out for a smoke after the truck driver insults him. The man riding with Oh Taek kills the truck driver. Oh Taek thinks about confronting the truck driver and knocks on his truck. He does not hear anything from inside and assumes he isn’t in the truck, but a microwave beeps. On the other side, the man waits with a knife and hears the beep. Oh Taek touches the door handle, ready to open.
Episode 2: It’s Hard to Find Good People
The episode begins with a flashback. We see a man in a mental hospital, and the doctor asks the man some questions. Suddenly, the man takes a pen and tries to stab the doctor. At present, Oh Taek hesitates to open the truck’s door, and he gets a call from his colleague. He tells his colleague about the weird customer. Soon-kyu takes pictures of the evidence from Hyuk-soo’s house. She is trying to reach out to the detective Joong-min, but he is busy with a PR event for a minister. Soon-kyu finds the taxi number from the convenience store nearby. The man in the taxi introduces himself to Oh Taek as Hyuk-soo. Soo-kyu calls the taxi company to get the driver’s information. Joo-hwan (Oh Taek’s colleague) calls him, asking what he was doing with the toxic person, and Hyuk-soo hears this.
Hyuk-soo starts to tell his story to Oh Taek. We see a flashback to the time Hyuk-soo is in school. He meets his soulmate, Sena, there. They both want the same things and help each other achieve it. Hyuk-soo makes sure Sena’s dad is hospitalized so he learns his lesson. They write diaries and exchange ideas on how they can create a perfect crime. One fine day, Sena asks Hyuk-soo not to reach out to her as she has a boyfriend.
Hyuk-soo tries to confront the boyfriend, but he is an athlete and gets beaten. He takes a bus that day to get away from the area, and he meets with an accident that damages his amygdala. Soon, he realizes he has a superpower and throws bait at Sena’s boyfriend. He starts beating Hyuk-soo, but he feels nothing. In the end, Hyuk-soo pulls out a blade, and the boy slips off from the roof in fear. Hyuk-soo does not help, and the boy falls to his death.
Soon-kyu finds Mr. Yang’s number as he is the night shift driver. She realizes he is in front of her and reaches out to him. He gives her Oh Taek’s number, and she leaves. Oh Taek asks Hyuk-soo to stop telling these stories, but he continues. We see another flashback. Hyuk-soo decides to study and attends an orientation at a prestigious university but does not enjoy it. In anger, he hurts himself. In the hospital, he is drawn to blood.
After this incident, Hyuk-soo has an alter ego, Sena’s boyfriend. He keeps appearing in front of him, asking him to kill. He also mentions that he has killed a homeless man, and that is his first murder. Oh Taek thinks he is joking, but he shows Oh Taek a cut finger to prove his point. He tells him it is the truck driver’s finger. But Oh Taek is scared, and Hyuk-soo says it isn’t his finger, and he is joking.
Oh Taek begs Hyuk-soo to take another taxi, but he disagrees. He instead takes away Oh Taek’s phone, and they drive. At this moment, Soon-kyu calls, and his phone is switched off. Oh Taek remembers his training days and turns on the emergency switch. Soon-kyu finds the detective, but he gives excuses about needing a search warrant. She takes a step further, calls her contacts, and asks for details about a ship and if she can get a gun. One of the cars sees the red light on the taxi and follows them. Hyuk-soo realizes something is fishy. Oh Taek takes the opportunity, gets out of the car, and takes help from the other car people. One of those men approaches the vehicle, but he is burned. Hyuk-soo then attacks the other man. Oh Taek is trying to get a phone, but Hyuk-soo is ready to strike.
Episode 3: Everything Comes With a Price
The episode begins with Soon-kyu meeting Mr. Baek to get her gun. He asks her to use it as a last resort. She asks him to find out about the smuggling boat, and she drives to Mopko. Hyuk-soo is about to stab Oh Taek but stops himself. Oh Taek begs for his life and promises to drive him quietly. Hyuk-soo agrees and asks for help to move the dead body. One of the other men is not dead, and Oh Taek begs him not to kill the man. Hyuk-soo and Oh Taek put the man in the trunk, and Hyuk-soo cuts Oh Taek’s fingernail and says everything comes with a price. They start their journey to Mopko, and Hyuk-soo continues his story. He tells Oh Taek that he was born to kill. We see a flashback after Hyuk-soo’s first murder.
Hyuk-soo starts killing homeless people. There will be no one to report the person missing or dead. There was nothing on the news about these people as well. After a while, he wanted something more interesting and challenging. He is watching television one day and sees an interview with Nam Yoon-ho, who is running for school President. He loves his mother, and Hyuk-soo addresses him as ‘Mama’s boy.’
Hyuk-soo starts stalking him and starts an online thread revealing that Yoon-ho is gay, along with pictures. He also starts mixing high dosages of medicines, causing Yoon-ho to hallucinate. Hyuk-soo starts provoking Yoon-ho to kill himself. Yoon-ho tries to fight it and shares this with his friend. The friend is not entirely sure as Yoon-ho has started to hallucinate, but Soon-kyu finds Yoon-ho dead.
Hyuk-soo is feeling cathartic and visits Yoon-ho’s funeral as well. The police show the online thread to Soon-kyu, and she is shocked as she doesn’t know anything about it. She is going through Yoon-ho’s phone and sees a text he had sent to his friend Yi-deun about a man stalking him. She reaches out to him, and he shows her the video. In the present, police chase Oh Taek’s vehicle as they have a report of drunk driving referring to his taxi. Hyuk-soo blackmails Oh Taek that he will come after his family if he gets caught after serving prison time. Oh Taek manages to get rid of the police. A flashback shows Oh Taek asking the man in the trunk to escape. Now, the man asks Oh Taek to report Hyuk-soo to the police as he cannot be trusted.
Hyuk-soo is impressed with Oh Taek’s acting, and they start to talk about good and evil. Hyuk-soo calls Oh Taek a coward, and that’s the reason he is unable to protect his family. Police are called as some people found the man in the truck dead. Soon-kyu is driving by and sees the second murder location, and she is shocked. Joong-min sees the photos Soon-kyu has sent, and at the same time, he sees news about a murder that has happened en route to Mopko. He then sees the CCTV footage of the hospital Yi-deun was in and sees the man. He is sure it is the same man in the other videos. Oh Taek is furious and drives rashly, saying he will report Hyuk-soo to the police. His rash driving causes the car to crash.
Episode 4: The Sheep and the Wolf
The episode begins with a flashback to the time Oh Taek was in prison. A lawyer forces him to sign an agreement. Oh Taek refuses at first, but the lawyer says he’s the sheep in the world of wolves who always get their way. In the present, Oh Taek is dragged out of the car into the greenhouse. Hyuk-soo is about to attack Oh Taek, but the man in the trunk hits Hyuk-soo. Hyuk-soo forces Oh Taek to kill the other man, but when he refuses, he ties him up to a rod hanging with a hose as a noose. The rod breaks, and Oh Taek is saved. Joong-min and his partner Sung-ii investigate Hyuk-soo. They reach the rest stop where the first murder took place and conclude it is the work of Hyuk-soo.
Oh Taek and Hyuk-soo walk towards the main road, and Hyuk-soo says they need to find a car. Oh Taek is reminded of his wife’s words to stand up and fight when needed. Hyuk-soo sees a car and tries to run towards it, but the car drives away quickly. The one driving the car is Soon-kyu. Oh Taek attacks Hyuk-soo, seizes the opportunity and runs. He enters an abandoned building, and Hyuk-soo follows him.
Oh Taek hurts himself, but he runs away. He trips and falls, helping him lose Hyuk-soo. The police realize the homeless people’s death and Yoon-ho’s death are related. They conclude with the pictures from Hyuk-soo’s house. Soon-kyu finds a toppled taxi from the highway and rushes inside with a pistol. She finds a man on the floor. He is alive, and she calls the police. She shows the man Hyuk-soo’s picture, and he confirms it was him who had hurt him. She tells him about her son’s death, and he dies.
Joong-min gets permission from his senior to continue the investigation. He asks the officers to get everything from Hyuk-soo’s house and find him. Oh Taek reaches a house, and the dog starts barking. He sees the owner, who is now scared to see Oh Taek. He convinces her that he means no harm, and she lets him inside the house to call the police. As Oh Taek goes inside, the dog starts barking, and Hyuk-soo kills it.
The lady is sad and makes a sound. Hyuk-soo is walking towards her. Oh Taek comes out so the lady can be spared. Hyuk-soo chases him, but Oh Taek manages to escape, and he calls the police. Oh Taek finds a water body and thinks about good times with his family. The police find him, and in the station, Joong-min asks him where he had lost Hyuk-soo. The police near the greenhouse ask Soon-kyu to go with them as they have found the taxi driver.
Joong-min gets a call, and so does Oh Taek on the lady’s phone. He recognizes it’s his daughter’s number. He receives and hears her voice, but Hyuk-soo talks immediately. Apparently, he had used someone’s cut finger to unlock a phone. Oh Taek’s wife Mi-rim elsewhere is at a police station to report her daughter missing. Hyuk-soo asks Oh Taek to come to the lady’s house, and if he brings the police, he will kill his daughter.
Episode 5: The Smiling Man
The episode begins with a flashback. Hyuk-soo deliberately chose to get inside Oh Taek’s Taxi. In the present, Hyuk-soo asks Oh Taek to meet at the lady’s house. Oh Taek sends the police in the opposite direction. He calls Mi-rim, who confirms that Seung-mi has been missing since the morning. Oh Taek is planning on how to leave the police station, and Soon-kyu walks in. Oh Taek tells Soon-kyu that Hyuk-soo had killed her son.
She breaks down. He tells the cops he is going out for a smoke and escapes. Soon-kyu realises something is wrong, and she finds him running in the street. She asks him not to trust Hyuk-soo, but he does not listen. Furthermore, she asks him to join her if she can’t call the police. He agrees and asks her to stop the car as he is unable to find the direction. He tells Soon-kyu he is confused and that he will drive the car. As soon as Soon-kyu gets out, he takes the car and reaches the house.
The lady’s son, who is a police officer, comes home to find the dog dead. Hyuk-soo and the officer are fighting, and Oh Taek tries to stop them. Hyuk-soo reminds him that he has to be alive for Seung-mi to live. Subsequently, Hyuk-soo kills the officer. Hyuk-soo tells Oh Taek he wanted to kill Seung-mi, but she was sure Oh Taek would find her, and if it came to it, he would sacrifice his life for her.
Oh Taek asks Hyuk-soo to shoot him if that means Seung-mi can live. Hyuk-soo says the circumstances have changed, and he needs to get on the boat, and then he will reveal Seung-mi’s location. Oh Taek wears the officer’s clothes, uses his car, and drives. Soon-kyu sees them and tries to stop them, but they drive away. Oh Taek takes a diversion to get the suitcase, and Soon-kyu loses them. Mi-rim, through Seung-mi’s friend, gets to know that she has a boyfriend, and his last name is Geum.
Hyuk-soo tells Oh Taek that he met his daughter at Yoon-ho’s funeral. We see a flashback where he gets intrigued by her, and they meet in different social situations. Eventually, they started dating. At first, he did not want to kill her, but he had to kill someone else instead of her. Seung-mi starts to suspect something weird and asks Yi-deun to follow him. He lets her live and plays along. The police saw all the footage and realized Hyuk-soo had gotten into the taxi on purpose. Ji-eum finds a picture of Seung-mi in Hyuk-soo’s house.
Soon-kyu informs Joong-min that Hyuk-soo is in a police car, and he puts everyone on alert. The police start chasing the car, but they get away. Joong-min messages Soon-kyu’s phone, asking Oh Taek to report him to the police, and they know he is being blackmailed. Oh Taek ignores and finds another car. He is curious to know what is inside the suitcase and also wonders if it is Seung-mi. He asks for the code for the lock, and it is Seung-mi’s birthday. Oh Taek opens the suitcase and is terrified.
Episode 6: What Happens Happens
The episode begins with a flashback. Seung-mi arrives at a tunnel at the same time Oh Taek video calls her. In the present, Oh Taek opens the suitcase and finds nothing except clothes. In another flashback, we see Oh Taek makes a deal with Joong-min to help him find Seung-min. Oh Taek calls Joong-min and drives Hyuk-soo. Joong-min and the entire police force can now listen to the conversation. Oh Taek starts asking Hyuk-soo questions about Seung-mi’s location. Hyuk-soo agrees to cooperate by playing the 20-question game. The police hear about the port’s location and an area called Paju where Seung-mi is.
Hyuk-soo gets a call, and he realizes Oh Taek is up to something. He asks him to stop the car and questions at gunpoint why the police were at the port. He searches for Oh Taek and finds the phone. Furthermore, he challenges Joong-min to find him and arrest him. Oh Taek begs for his life again and promises to smuggle him out. The police are looking for Seung-mi at Paju but need help finding leads. Soon-kyu comes to the port and overhears someone talking about smuggling Hyuk-soo. She threatens the man for more information, which leads to her finding his boss. Oh Taek contacts his colleague Mr. Yang to help him smuggle out, and he asks him to find Mr. Jung. As he reaches the location, he is hit on the head.
Mi-rim asks about Hyuk-soo’s father to Ji-eun. She finds Hyuk-soo’s grandmother to find more information. Mi-rim pleads to her and explains the situation. Hyuk-soo is like his father, as his father also tormented his mother. She gives them an address. After searching the place, they didn’t find Seung-mi. Mr. Jung is confused as Oh Taek is wearing a police uniform. Oh Taek uses his acting skill and uses all the dialogues Hyuk-soo had told him and finds a way out.
The police arrive at the location, and Hyuk-soo kills one man from the gang and slashes a cop’s car tire. Soon-kyu arrives at the location and chases after Hyuk-soo as she sees Joong-min chase them. Oh Taek and Hyuk-soo arrive at the new location, and he asks Hyuk-soo about Seung-mi’s location. He gives him an address, and he calls Mi-rim and repeats the same. The cops and Mi-rim are looking for her, and Hyuk-soo opens his suitcase and shows Oh Taek Seung-mi’s head.
Oh Taek breaks down and shoots, but there are no bullets. Mi-rim and cops find a machine, and when they press it, blood gushes out. Oh Taek tries to attack Hyuk-soo, but Hyuk-soo stabs him and pushes him inside the water. Soon-kyu makes her way, points a gun at him, and asks him to freeze. He turns around, and she is confused as the person’s photo she and the cops have does not match the face in front of her.
Episode 7: Mishaps Happen for No Reason
The episode begins with Soon-kyu wondering who the man in front of her is. Hyuk-soo touches his ear, and she knows he is a murderer. They fight each other, and he shoots her and gets on the boat. Soon-kyu rescues Oh Taek, but she dies. Oh Taek is in a critical condition. Mi-rim remembers her daughter and kills herself. Oh Taek wakes up, and Joong-min asks about Hyuk-soo. Oh Taek is perplexed as he looks at the image on the report. Hyuk-soo is not the murderer, yet PTSD prevents him from remembering the murderer’s face. He can remember everything except his face. Oh Taek is hallucinating and attacks another man in the hospital, claiming he is the murderer. Joo-hwan tells Oh Taek that he has won the lottery and he should start a fresh life with his son.
We move forward to four years. Seung-hyun is working for Joo-hwan. He spends his time with Joo-hwan and his daughter Chae-ri. Oh Taek is in China trying to find the murderer. He meets a gang member who has helped the murderer get out of Korea. He gives him information that the murderer never got on the boat. This means he is still in Korea. Oh Taek comes back to Korea and is looking for him. He is working with Mr Baek, who also has lost a child and hence helped Soon-kyu. He is now helping Oh Taek.
Soon, he starts looking for Yoon Se-na. She gives him the real name of the murderer and also gives a copy of the diary they exchanged. The man’s name is Lee Byeong-min. Oh Taek goes through the diary and finds clues to where he can be found. Lee Byeong-min is the CEO of a Biotechnology Company called Odin. He has a wife who is pregnant. He is living a wonderful life. Oh Taek waits outside the company and gets a glimpse of Byeong-min. He looks at Seung-min’s photo and tells her he has found him.
Episode 8: A Bloody Lucky Day
The episode begins with Byeong-min telling a man he is the reason for him to kill his family. Seung-hyun and Chae-ri tell Chae-ri’s parents that they are going to have a baby. Joo-hwan’s wife panics and is angry. Oh Taek buys a car with a big trunk to fit a man inside. He continues to follow Byeong-min around. Se-na is waiting for Byeong-min near his house with a knife with the intention of killing him. Oh Taek stops her.
She passes out, and later, Se-na says she wants to get revenge on him as well. Oh Taek asks her to stay away and get out of drugs as he will do the deed alone. She tells him that the present Byeong-min had given her her dad’s dead cat, coco, as she had mentioned to Byeong-min that her father liked it more than her. From then on she is afraid of him.
Chae-ri invites Oh Taek for a meal with her family. He suddenly gets a call and leaves abruptly before listening to what she and Seung-hyun have to say. Se-na has choked a boy and is in the police station. She tells him she saw Byeong-min and she wasn’t on drugs, and it was probably withdrawal symptoms. He gives her something that can help. Oh Taek buys a lot of things to take revenge on Byeong-min. Seung-hyun is angry and asks his father what he is up to but gets no response. Byeong-min wins the Entrepreneur of the Year award. He also gets to know he is going to have a baby boy. Byeong-min shows his father, who is in the hospital, the award, but his father throws the trophy.
Oh Taek in the lift confronts him in front of a nurse, saying he had killed his daughter. He chases Byeong-min, but Oh Taek is cornered, and Se-na comes to his rescue. Oh Taek drugs him and ties him up. He cuts his finger, uses a machine that extracts his blood, and says he will play the 20-question game with him. Through the conversation, Oh Taek confirms that Hyuk-soo was his accomplice. He provokes Byeong-min by saying he is Hyuk-soo’s puppet and nothing else. This makes him confirm he was the one who had killed Hyuk-soo and Seung-min. Byeong-min put Hyuk-soo’s DNA everywhere every time he killed someone. Oh Taek records this and promises to put it across everywhere for the world to see.
He places a mirror in front of Byeong-min to watch himself be cut and killed. Byeong-min stops him and asks him to reach out to his pocket as he has a present. When Oh Taek does that, he sees a sonogram of Chae-ri and Seung-hyun’s names. Byeong-min laughs and asks if he doesn’t want to see his grandchild. Seung-hyun calls Joong-min to say he suspects his father is going to kill someone.
Episode 9: An Eye for an Eye, a Tooth for a Tooth
The episode begins with Oh Taek worrying about Chae-ri and asking Byeong-min about her. Seung-hyun tells Joong-min that his father has left him all the money and gave him a password, and the computer history shows many things he has bought that indicate he is about to kill someone. Byeong-min makes a deal with Oh Taek. He first makes sure the evidence of his confession of the murders is destroyed. He asks Byeing-min to give him Se-na in exchange for Chae-ri. Oh Taek does not believe Chae-ri is alive as Byeong-min has played this mind game before. He takes Byeong-min, tied up, and pushes him inside a well.
Joong-min and his partner arrive. They handcuff Oh Taek to a water piper and help Byeong-min up. Oh Taek seizes the opportunity and escapes. Byeong-min is taken to the hospital and is given a lot of care. He pretends to be the victim. Byeong-min wakes up and is terrified Oh Taek will hurt his wife. He hires a lot of guards to protect her. Oh Taek calls Se-na and asks her to flee as Byeong-min knows about her now. He also promises to hurt him like he had hurt Oh Taek and her. While taking a statement from Byeong-min, one of the detectives asks about a woman named Song-min. Joong-min visits Se-na, and she only gives him half-truths regarding Oh Taek but confirms his suspicions about Byeong-min.
Seung-hyun tells Joong-min that Chae-ri is missing, and he thinks that Oh Taek has found the culprit. Joong-min puts the pieces together and visits Byeong-min. He confronts him, and when he touches his ear, he knows for sure he is the culprit. He is questioning Chae-ri, and his mother walks in and says she is a judge and he better leave. His mother asks Byeong-min to get rid of the evidence. Byeong-min’s wife overhears the conversation. She asks the driver to take her home, and Oh Taek follows the car. Joong-min is finding information on Byeong-min as he is sure he is the culprit. At home, she enters Byeong-min’s room and opens his locker to find the Polaroid of the victims. She also reads about Hyuk-soo and his murders and realizes it’s Byeomg-min. Oh Taek enters, attacks the bodyguard, and kidnaps her.
Episode 10: Should This Life Sometimes Deceive You
The episode begins with Byeong-min kidnapping Se-na. He is about to burn Chae-ri and Se-na when he receives a message from his wife’s number. Pictures of her tied up. Oh Taek calls him and makes a deal that he will let Chae-ri go and he should not harm his wife and child. Oh Taek gives him an hour, calls Seung-hyun, and asks him to stay in the shop, and he will call back soon. Joong-min arrives at the shop, and Seung-hyun updates him. Byeong-min gets inside the room, and both Chae-ri and Se-na attack him. They rush out, and Byeong-min grabs Se-na. They fight, but Se-na manages to outsmart him, and they both run outside the house.
Byeong-min chases them, and there is a pit, and both the girls fall inside. Byeong-min is unsure what to do as his wife and son’s life is in danger. Oh Taek calls Seung-hyun, but Chae-ri is not in the shop. Joong-min is tracking the phone. Oh Taek tells them that Chae-ri is dead, and Joo-hwan breaks down. Oh Taek tells Byeong-min’s wife that Byeong-min had killed his daughter and his wife. He also tells her that her son is unhappy and finally finds a reason to smile, and Byeong-min has killed his girlfriend as well. She is fighting with all her might so he does not kill her. Oh taek covers the taxi and pushes it towards the water. Oh Taek reaches where Byeong-min is and finds him losing his mind.
Byeong-min lies to Oh Taek that he has killed Chae-ri. Oh Taek also tells him he has killed his wife and son, and now he is here to take his revenge by killing him. They get into a fight, and Oh Taek makes Byeong-min’s eyes bleed. Oh Taek is about to kill him, but Joong-min stops him. He tells Oh Taek that he is here to save him and that he will make sure Byeong-min is punished. Oh Taek does not listen, but Seung-hyun enters and stops his father. Byeong-min starts laughing as he still thinks Oh Taek is a coward. Oh Taek jumps outside along with Byeong-min. In the next scene, we see all of them in a hospital. Seung-hyun visits Oh Taek and tells him that Chae-ri and Se-na are alive. He also thanks him for everything.

Does Byeong-min get what he deserves?
Byeong-min’s wife, Hyun-ji, is alive and gives birth to a son. In a flashback, we see Hyun-ji helping the police find evidence on Byeong-min. Oh Taek could not kill her, and he lets her go free and apologizes. She gives Oh Taek information on where Byeong-min is. At present, the court gives the Byeong-min the death penalty. Oh Taek also spends some time in jail for his crimes. Byeong-min is unable to see and uses oxygen now. His mother visits him and gives him a piece of cake, but he suspects she has poisoned it. He asks her never to return, and killing her child is cheating. Oh Taek is out of prison and spends his time with his family and playing with his grandchild.
The show, in the end, tackles the idea of good vs evil and how karma always comes back to bite you. Byeong-min is seen as powerful and fearless, but in the end, when he is put in the same position as his victim, he can’t think straight. It was a great revenge drama with an intense storyline. It was a fitting end for Byeong-min, even though we would have liked to see him dead, but the horrible mental and physical state he is in is triumphant.
