Who is Levon?
Levon is a hardworking man who supervises a construction crew and makes sure every project runs smoothly. He’s deeply respected by the other workers, mostly because he treats them like family. Early in the film, one of the workers offers Levon lunch, which his wife has specially prepared for him, showing how much Levon means to the people he works with.
We also see Levon stepping in to protect that same worker from a dangerous loan shark who’s been harassing him, showing up at the construction site with guns and threatening his life. Levon works at Garcia Construction, a small but honest company run by Mr. Garcia, his wife, and their daughter, Jenny. He also has a daughter named Merry, who now lives with her grandfather, Dr. Roth, after her mother passed away. Levon still has visitation rights, but it’s clear Dr. Roth doesn’t like him. He never misses a chance to insult or belittle Levon whenever they meet.
Levon wasn’t always a construction worker. He used to be in the army, part of a special unit, and was highly skilled. The reason he doesn’t have full custody of his daughter, Merry, is that her grandfather, Dr. Roth, along with his lawyer, claims that Levon suffers from PTSD due to his time in the military. They argue he’s unfit to raise a child. On top of that, they’re pushing to have the court approve supervised visits only. Moreover, they’re trying to cut down his visitation time from two hours a week to just one hour every two weeks. Dr. Roth blames Levon for his daughter’s suicide, believing that it was her depression from being with Levon that pushed her over the edge.
Who is Jenny? What Happens to Her?
Jenny is the daughter of Joe and Carla. She is an ambitious teenager who often helps her parents run their construction business. But everything changes the night she goes out to celebrate her graduation with friends. After getting drunk, she’s kidnapped by a man and a woman who plan to make a fortune by selling her. When Jenny doesn’t come home for a couple of days, Joe and Carla turn to Levon for help. They beg him to find their daughter.
Joe knows Levon was once a Green Beret, one of the most elite soldiers, trained to pull off missions that seemed impossible. As much as Levon feels for them and their situation, he turns them down, saying he’s not that man anymore. However, Levon remembers the promise he once made to Jenny to always have her back. He also remembers how Joe had been there for him after he was discharged from the military, giving him a job and helping him get back on his feet. So Levon shows up at Joe’s doorstep later that day and gives him his word that no matter what it takes, he’s going to bring Jenny home safe and sound.
How does Levon flush out Dimi?
Levon begins his investigation and tracks down a bartender known for dealing drugs at the same bar where Jenny went missing. Levon questions him about Jenny, but the bartender refuses to talk. That’s when Levon decides to interrogate him the hard way. Just as things start heating up, backup shows up, forcing Levon to make a quick escape. Later, Levon tails a man named Wolo Kolisnyk back to his house. When Wolo refuses to cooperate, Levon ties him to a chair and pushes him into the pool, letting him drown.
Afterward, he goes through Wolo’s phone and discovers the name of a Russian criminal named Dimi. Dimi is someone involved in all kinds of illegal activities, from human trafficking to drug dealing. Levon then goes undercover, posing as a drug dealer. He manages to set up a business deal with Dimi, but before long, he’s caught by Vanko and Danya. Unfortunately for them, Levon breaks free and takes both of them out. When their father hears the news, he contacts the council, a group with influence and connections. With their help, he tracks down Dimi and warns him that the man Dimi’s been doing business with is the same one who killed his father and cousins, Danya and Vanko.

Is Levon Able to Bring Jenny Home?
When the danger starts sneaking into William’s personal life, he sends his daughter to stay with Gunny, an old friend who owns a farm just outside the city. After making sure his daughter is safe and settled, Levon picks up the trail again and tracks Dimi to his hideout. Once there, Levon takes down all of Dimi’s bodyguards with ease, like they’re nothing more than moths. With Dimi at gunpoint, Levon forces him to reveal the location where he had sold Carla. After getting what he needs, Levon shoots Dimi without hesitation. He then heads straight to the trap house Dimi mentioned, takes out everyone inside, and rescues Jenny.
Will There be A Working Man 2?
Toward the end of “A Working Man,” we see an older Russian man in a suit and hat calling the council, informing them that Levon has killed everyone and escaped with the girl. Instead of giving him the green light for revenge, the council orders him to stand down and let Levon go. When the old man asks how he’s supposed to let the man who killed his son walk free, the council warns him that if he goes against their decision, he could end up just like his son. Still, there’s a lingering sense that the old man might not honor the council’s orders. He may choose to go after Levon anyway, setting up a potential revenge-driven sequel.
Jason Statham’s last movie, “The Beekeeper,” was a huge box office hit, and its sequel is already in development. So if “A Working Man” performs well at the box office too, there’s a solid chance we’ll get a sequel. In fact, rumors are already circulating that the sequel has quietly been greenlit, with a possible release date set for 2026.
