For nearly a decade, Millie Bobby Brown has been the face of a generation as the telekinetic Eleven, but 2026 marks the official end of her Hawkins era. The Stranger Things finale, which premiered on New Year’s Day, delivered an emotionally charged send-off that saw Eleven make the ultimate sacrifice to close the gates to the Upside Down forever.

The finale’s production was so massive that the 128-minute episode reportedly cost more than the entire first season, a testament to how far Brown has carried the franchise since her debut as a twelve-year-old breakout star.

While the ending left Eleven’s fate in a bittersweet “liminal space,” fans were treated to some incredible behind-the-scenes trivia following the premiere. Reports surfaced that Brown was so moved during her final scene with Mike (Finn Wolfhard) that the Duffer Brothers had to pause filming for an hour to let the cast compose themselves. Organically, this transition has allowed Millie Bobby Brown to pivot from the grittiness of sci-fi horror to the sharp-witted charm of her other blockbuster Netflix franchise, which is already gearing up for its biggest installment yet.

With the dust finally settling on Hawkins, the first look at Enola Holmes 3 has officially dropped, and it’s sending the internet into a frenzy. The new film moves the action away from the foggy streets of London to the sun-drenched, treacherous shores of Malta.

The Plot & Cast: The third mystery finds Enola (Brown) balancing her professional detective agency with a blossoming—and complicated—romance. In a jaw-dropping first-look image, Louis Partridge’s Lord Tewkesbury is seen down on one knee, appearing to propose to a stunned Enola. The sequel is being described by new director Philip Barantini (Adolescence) as a “darker, more mature” chapter that reflects Brown’s own growth into adulthood.

The star-studded returning cast includes:

  • Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes

  • Helena Bonham Carter as the eccentric Eudoria Holmes

  • Himesh Patel as the newly introduced Dr. John Watson

  • Sharon Duncan-Brewster as the mastermind Moriarty

Release Date

Netflix has confirmed that Enola Holmes 3 will anchor their Summer 2026 movie slate. While an exact day hasn’t been set, the “proposal” teaser suggests that Enola’s next case will be her most personal one yet, proving that Millie Bobby Brown’s post-Stranger Things career is just as powerful as her telekinetic beginnings.
