Ari Aster’s ‘Eddington’ Cast: Renowned filmmaker Ari Aster is bringing the team of the most talented actors in one frame. The director’s upcoming project, “Eddington,” will feature an ensemble cast including Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler. The production of the film is set to begin this week.

A24 will finance and produce Aster’s upcoming film. This isn’t the first time Aster has collaborated with A24, which has released all three of Aster’s previous feature films, beginning with 2018’s “Hereditary” and continuing with 2019’s “Midsommar” and last year’s “Beau Is Afraid.” “Eddington” will mark the sixth collaboration between A24 and Square Peg. Since the project will commence this week, the information regarding it is kept under wraps. However, little detail has been extracted about the film to fuel the excitement about the upcoming film.

Based on Aster’s script, “Eddington” follows the tale of a small-town New Mexico sheriff with lofty aspirations. Aster’s films have been noted for their unsettling combination of horror, dark comedy, and depictions of graphic violence. Considering the nature of his previous works, something exciting can be expected from his upcoming film.

Coming towards the star-studded cast of the film, the film will mark the reunion of Aster with Phoenix, who starred in “Beau Is Afraid,” which also starred Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, and Amy Ryan. Phoenix certainly needs no introduction. He is prominently known for portraying the iconic anti-hero Joker. He also won an Oscar for 2019’s “Joker.” To everyone’s excitement, he is soon returning as Joker for the sequel “Joker: Folie à Deux,” hitting theaters in October from Warner Bros.

The female lead of Aster’s film Emma Stone recently won her second Oscar trophy for her impeccable performance as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things.” Stone’s other acting credits include the Showtime series “The Curse,” which aired its season finale earlier this year. Another name attached to the project is Pedro Pascal, who saw a meteoric rise in his career after appearing in HBO’s epic “Game of Thrones.” He recently appeared in “Drive-Away Dolls” and will return for the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us.”

Austin Butler will also appear alongside Pascal, Stone, and Phoenix. The actor is currently being praised for his performance in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two opposite” Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Josh Brolin. Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Michael Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr. are also set to appear in the movie, which does not yet have a release date.
