Devayush Chowdhary
Devayush Chowdhary is an Indian-American filmmaker who is closely associated with the new wave of independent cinema coming out of India in recent years. After graduating from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, he went on to assist internationally acclaimed filmmakers such as Rituporno Ghosh, and Anurag Kashyap. In 2014 he turned to screenwriting and wrote several popular television shows on Indian television. His short film, The Others, has won accolades at several film festivals such as New York New Filmmakers Anthology, and International Film Festival of South Asia – Toronto since its premiere as the inaugural film of the 19th Kolkata Film Festival (Shorts section) Earlier this year Devayush got his first writing credit for a Hindi feature film with Phobia.
