The latest effort to bring Dylan to life is by the filmmaker James Mangold. He spoke about the Bob Dylan biopic during the Cannes Film Festival premiere of his latest film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. At the press conference, Mangold revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch was cast as Pete Seeger.
Besides sharing his views on the ongoing Writers’ Strike, he also spoke about his experience of working with Disney’s Searchlight Pictures has been. “Searchlight has really been providing a home for me,” Mangold said.

Timothée Chalamet is set to step in the shoes of Bob Dylan for this music biopic.
