There is no way to fully understand the angst, anger, and confusion of someone enduring indefinite emotional turmoil. The fallout from Robertโs discovery of Catherineโs affair is palpable as we see him driving away. He ignores Catherineโs desperate calls and drinks heavily to numb his hurt. He spends the night in his car, waking to a flood of messages from Catherine. Unable to drive, he heads to work by bus, reflecting on the strangers around him and questioning the life he once thought he knew.
