John Wick: Chapter 4 is just a day away from its release, and it has already emerged as the top-rated film of the entire franchise as far as the rotten tomatoes go. At the time of writing,  Keanu Reeves starring John Wick: Chapter 4, scored an unbelievable 95% score on Tomatometer, based on 170 reviews.




John Wick 4 is the first film in the franchise to go past 90%. John Wick (2014) has an 86% (222 reviews) Tomatometer rating, John Wick: Chapter 2 has an 89% (280 reviews) Tomatometer rating, while the last chapter, John Wick 3, which saw Johnathan crossing the sacrosanct rule on the Continental grounds, resulting in Excommunicado, scored an 89% (358 reviews).

What’s even more surprising is that the latest action franchise scored the best on the Metacritic platform as well. At the time of writing, John Wick holds a weighted average score of 78 out of 100, based on 49 critics.

John Wick 4 Initial Reviews Are Overwhelmingly Positive

Initial reviews of John Wick 4 have been overwhelmingly positive, and it seems like critics can’t get enough of the killing machine – John Wick.

Collider’s Steve Weintraub calls the fourth installment as f*cking awesome in his tweet.

Richard Brody of the New Yorker writes in the review, “Chapter 4 is by far the best of the four films starring Keanu Reeves as the eponymous hit man, the first of the cycle that I’d recommend—albeit with an asterisk.

John Wick has definitely revolutionized modern action cinema, and Chapter 4 takes it a step further. Simon Thompson of The Playlist writes, “With this wildly satisfying world tour de force, Reeves’ Wick transcends icon status delivering the perfect bone-crunching crescendo to one of the great action franchises in cinema history. John Wick 4 Project Opening Weekend Box Office

With the reviews extremely in favor of the film, it is expected that John Wick 4 will have the franchise’s highest opening weekend at the box office. According to Deadline, the projected earnings for the opening weekend are around $65-70 million in the United States and Canada, which will be released in theaters by Lionsgate on March 23, 2023.




It can additionally add up to $45 million in international territories, putting the film at $115 million globally, a record for the franchise.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum ends with Winston surprisingly shooting John Wick, causing him to fall off the roof of the Continental.
