After giving a spectacular performance in the 2023 romantic thriller film May December actress Julianne Moore is all set with her next project to woo the audience with her acting chops once again. The Oscar-winning Julianne Moore will be joining James McAvoy in an upcoming action thriller, Control. Deadline reports that Moore has joined the cast of the Studiocanal film, which is expected to begin production later this month in Berlin. 

Moore is a renowned and well-established actress in the Hollywood industry who has gained fame and popularity by giving some incredible performances throughout her career. The actress has four Oscar nominations for Boogie Nights, The End of the Affair, Far From Heaven, and The Hours. Finally, in 2015, Moore’s talent was recognized by the Academy, and finally took her Oscar trophy home for her role in Still Alice. Considering her vast acting resume, which is a testament to her brilliance, her next project is anticipated by Moore’s fans. 

What can be expected from Julianne Moore’s upcoming film ‘Control’?

The upcoming action thriller feature Control will mark the collaboration of Julianne Moore and McAvoy. He will be portraying the lead role of Dr. Conway in the film. As of now, Moore’s role is being kept under wraps. But she will play a significant character Dr. Conway has to contend with. The film will be helmed by German filmmaker Robert Schwentke. He is primarily known for directing films in the thriller and action genres. Some of his notable works include  Flightplan, Red, and Snake Eyes

His upcoming project is based on the acclaimed podcast Shipworm by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. The premise of Control revolves around Dr. Conway, a troubled man who becomes even more so when he wakes up with a mysterious voice in his head, courtesy of a mechanical earpiece he was implanted with in his sleep. The voice has orders for him – and if they aren’t followed, there will be dire consequences for Dr. Conway and his family. 

The Picture Company partners Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman will produce the film. They have a long-term overall deal with Studiocanal. Shipworm writer Akers adapted his podcast for the film, with revisions by Andrew Baldwin. Bronkie.. 

As mentioned above, Control will begin production this month in Berlin. The release date of the film has not been confirmed yet.
